so the concubine is an archmage who uses black magic. The king was his former lover. So the concubine used black magic on him so he falls in love with him, but the black magic is taking his life so he had a child with the queen and the child will be his clone. After he dies he's going to take over the child body.
The queen dies of sickness.
The prince becomes the next ruler.
Mc ends up with Klien and ceil. As she went back to her world and they followed her and proposed to her. As they both came to a fogrin world with little to no chance of going back
Klein appears in front of Yoojin the second she is back in Korea they kiss and he asks for her real name. Ciel appears 4 months later (but in his world it was already 23 yrs).
Queen final ending:
She dies before the prince reaches 10 years old. The orchid-like lady spent her days quietly and peacefully in her palace, hardly noticeable to anyone. She loved walks in the garden so after her death, her palace was filled with flowers in her memory, and became famous for it.
Evans/Yurigel ending in Ciel's words
Nobody knows if they're alive or dead but Yurigel couldn't have lasted long as the illness spread out from his heart to his face, rotting, the time they saw him before the exile.
Mio's ending according to Ciel:
Rumors of his apprenticeship under Klein (as a swordsman) spread and he began getting offers from every family/organization. Eventually, the Capellas adopted him in as their heir and he took over the dukedom. As he wouldn't marry, the next heir will likely be an adopted apprentice as well. Klein seems happy with this news, it seems he quite liked Mio.
The final words he had Ciel pass to Yoojin was to "Live well and be happy".
Though it had been hardly any time at all for Yoojin, she really wished he had come along so he could enjoy the spring of her world, and she could see his green eyes again.
Exactly and it not even polymerous…it’s polygamy…they sharing her—i can’t with this story. Nobody wanna share their lover unless they in love with the money—I’m surprised the red head agreed with this. Well, it’s her story…so ofc she’ll get her happiness. Man and I liked her refreshing personality. Her purpose in the book…her purpose…purpose…WAS LITERALLY NONEXISTENT!! NOT EVEN TO WRITE A BIOGRAPHY OF THE QUEEN’S LIFE!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH—well this was unique I’ll give the author that.
this was written by https://forum.novelupdates.com/members/upsadaisy.248906/ i thought the argument was interesting
Are people not being a bit..biased?
In the original translations of the first 3 chapters of the novel, the ML was the one who told her to live her life for herself not for anyone else (ie her father) and reminded her of how her mother told that she's the most important person in her life. She then became obsessed with the ML and thought that if she was by his side then she would be complete.
Then despite knowing he was already engaged, she and her father forced the ML into a situation where he had no choice but to accept her engagement. She didn't care about him at all and only herself. So when she met the ML again he already didn't like her because she was behaving exactly like her own father and disregarded his life to suit her own.
Throughout her pregnancy (and after) she never once told the child she loved it and her only concern was that it must resemble the ML and not her and frequently told her baby bump this. She had the child taken away from her because she wouldn't touch him, wash him or even feed the child and left it to the nanny to do all of this. All she would do was stare at the child. Whilst she may of loved the child, she was completely incapable of taking care of it and it would have died in her care if the servants hadn't intervened.
Next in the case of the old fiancee, the FL overhears the servants talking about how the ML was still visiting her (likely done intentionally within earshot of her as its clear the servants don't like her). This provokes the FL into confronting the woman and telling her to stay away and the fiancee tells her that its her who stole her position. The fact that the FL went to the old fiancee infuriates the ML as it wasn't her place to do that and he told her wouldn't take any other partner other than his wife or have another child because he's well aware how the battle for succession destroys a brothers relationship.. ie what happened with his own brother. She then goes into premature labour from this confrontation.
After the child is born and she isn't taking care of him andthey forcibly separate her from him and move her outside the main house to cool off. However, it seems her mental progresses and she falls ill and dies.
Whilst I don't condone the ML treatment of her by taking the child completely away from her and moving her out of the house, I equally don't condone the FL either. She gave him justifiable reasons to dislike her and her mental illness made her incapable to act as a fit mother. You could say that maybe her treatment of the child would have gotten better over time but that's equally unfair on her son. Whilst, her mental illness may explain why she did the things she did, it equally doesn't make them justifiable. If we won't excuse the ML if he has a traumatic past then we should equally not forgive a FL for the same reason.
As the ML told her he wouldn't take another woman, then its clear he respected her enough not to have an affair with his old fiancee and maybe was visiting her as he still viewed her as a friend. As he brought her in, it was maybe because she offered to help look after the child until the FL was mentally fit to come back (likely her plot to get her position back). But then again, these last two points are only my speculations on what has happened.
I don't agree with the forced marriage part since he did enter a marriage of convenience by his own will.
But it makes sense why he took Elle away. It wasn't because of ill will it's because FL was mentally ill. He feared for elle's safety and let his ex look after her.
Was it the right decision? No. He should have listened to FL and let her decide what to do, instead of forcing her. He shouldn't have invited his ex. He shouldn't have taken away Elle from her.
all I have to say is that the duke fucked up big time unintentionally
maybe because of the FL father, he brought them back together even tho the ML didn't approve but in the end he's force to do what the FL father wants to do for the sake of something (ig his tittle or that his people are in danger(?)), like it was part of the FL father's plan to harass his daughter like what the ML said and the ML also said that his ex is like a snake or something.
I somewhat understand why the FL didn't touch or have any physical contact of her child because she's afraid that she'll soil him or something cuz the FL father's always blaming her and telling her that she's curse.
what a shitty father, I pity the mom for marrying that butthole without knowing his personality乁༼☯‿☯✿༽ㄏ
I totally agree. She wasn't a good mother in her first life. She needed therapy before she can be in her son's life. How can she care for him when she can't even touch him.
Thanks for the summary. This novel just seems boring to me.
Idk why FL is even considered a curse? Only her mom died and she died saving the son not the daughter so the dad should blaims the son not the daughter.
Also idk why ppl are so hard on ml with tragic past or with metal illness but FL is forgiven for anything. That's a bit unfair. So I agree with you on the bias.
so the queen is MC's former life's sister. Her mum died a tragic death, so everyone spoiled her. This made her crave love and affection. She made a deal with the king (mc's ex-fiance) that if he makes Mc a criminal he can do whatever he wants with her. The queen overtly didn't hold her end of the bargain and killed MC and forced the king to marry her.
The king is a yandere. After MC's death, he sleeps next to her dead body. He never had sex with the queen since he thinks that she's a sad pathetic woman. ALSO, HE HIRES PROSTITUTES(that act or look like mc) AND DOES SOME SCARY BDSM WITH THEM. He later meets the MC in her new body and is immediately CRAZY about her and does whatever she says to "prove his love to her." That includes finding the actual proof of Charlotte's wrongdoing and left it out in the open for the rebels to find. In every meeting with the MC, you could tell he was jonesing for some serious action. It is disgusting as it is creepy. The MC keeps him at arm's length just to make as much use to him and even had him fake taking poison. He later figures out that the Mc in the new body will also not be his - freaks out and stabs himself saying that he will leave a scar on her soul forever.
The heroine (Lili) is indeed a player. The kicker? Lili is one of the game's developers or beta testers... and is a dude.
That said, there is no romantic tension between Lili and Rahnee. They actually develop a cute sibling relationship where they playfully bully the other! And yes, they do ally rather quickly. Lili did try to screw Rahnee over at first, but the situation turns hilarious very fast. This is one of those rare stories where the transmigrated 'villain' and 'heroine' actually help the other, and I LIVE for it.
Interestingly, it seems Lili, while he's aware that it's all a game, has lost some memories of his real life? Very unsure about this, take it with a grain of salt. But it also appears that Lili is unable to log out of the game as well.
So it appears that the game's relationship with the real world is complicated. Two NPCs in-game managed to teleport briefly to modern-day Korea in their dreams (I think one of them has a magical connection or something) and one of them actually sees the freaking advertisement for the game and is like, 'why are Lili and rahnee's face on this weird paper'. I should note that I call them NPCs because there's no proof of them being 'players' yet, though I won't be surprised if at least one of them did turn out to be an amnesiac one.
It is also revealed that Yona's (or Rahnee as she is in-game) presence in the story is VERY unusual because the Concubine Walkthrough game's release was delayed. Meaning there was no feasible way for her to have gotten into it because it was never released to the public. The issue? There was something wrong with the game's AI. Yeah... On top of that, guess what? Rahnee and Lili are NOT the only players!
Youngjung is actually a player as well! Somehow, he forgot all about his real/past life and became totally immersed in the role of Youngjung. As of the latest chapters (40+), he regains some (?) of his past life memories, and he knew Yona Lee! Looks like he had romantic feelings for her even then lol
So how this was found out was pretty cool. Basically, there was an assassination attempt on Rahnee's life, Youngjung saved her but got fatally wounded in the process, and we see him die... until he wakes up in this weird techno-field where Rahnee found herself in episode 7, with the big Rahnee avatar asking him if he wants to return to his last checkpoint with his teammates.
So you can guess what happened- suddenly EVERYONE (Rahnee, Lili, and Youngjung ofc) are transported 6 hours back in time. Rahnee and Lili don't immediately understand the situation outside of the fact time got reversed, so they look for Youngjung to save him from his previous fate. Thing is, he was searching for them as well and admits to having a very strange dream about dying for Rahnee. The lightbulbs in the girls' heads turn on, and they basically ask him to snap his fingers (this brings up the 'user menu' screen for all players). Youngjung does this, and a menu does pop up!! Pretty much confirming he IS a player. But as I said before, he doesn't remember being a player until chapter 40 or so.
From what is shown of his past life, he used to be a star football player in Yona's school until he lost a leg in an accident. I'm assuming Yona helped him recover from his ensuing depression. Also, Lili's real persona (the dude playing as her rn) looks to have offered real-Youngjung a spot in the game?
And finally about the emperor... I'm not sure if he's a player or an NPC. See, he can see Rahnee's user menu and Lili notes later on that NPCs can't see the menus, but when he snaps his fingers, his own menu doesn't pop up. Plus he appears to take his in-game backstory very seriously, relating a dead girl from his past to the current Rahnee (which is also why he's so taken with her now). Later on in the story, when Youngjung returns to a previous checkpoint, reversing time in the process, the world literally collapses around the NPCs. The emperor notices this and isn't shocked at all, saying it's happening faster than he expected.
My personal guess? The emperor might be the problematic 'AI' that delayed the release of the game. That, or a real developer of the game who's messing with the players for some reason lmao
You'll be happy to know there is, indeed, romance! More specifically, between Rahnee and the emperor.
I should again preface this by saying I can't read Korean for shit so I'm probably missing out on a ton of details, but the emperor (or 'Sunny' as she knows him) asks her out before she learns about his true identity. She gets into a bit of a conundrum about it because while she does genuinely like 'Sunny', she's also aware he's just an NPC (I think? She's definitely hesitant about the romance at first though). She eventually goes, 'heck it' and kisses him anyway.
A lot of chapters later, she gets into trouble with the empress dowager (Sunny's mother) (?). But before the situation escalates, the emperor arrives (and stops his mom I think) and everyone quickly gets on their knees and bows (head-to-floor). Because of the position, Rahnee doesn't see his face immediately, though she recognizes the voice as Sunny's. She looks up and finally learns that Sunny is true, the emperor, and is horrified to see the usually cheery and cute face she associates with Sunny replaced with the cold, emotionless glare of the emperor.
So some dialogue happens and the emperor ushers everyone out of the room except Rahnee. Now she's obviously afraid because the emperor is the number one cause of Rahnee's death in the original game. But now that they're alone, the emperor can show his true emotions and hugs Rahnee, presumably as an apology for the stress he caused her earlier. It's all good between them after, because in less than 10 panels Rahnee kicks the emperor in the gut, aka the usual relationship lol. Of course, this means that Youngjung lost his side of the bet (if Rahnee remains in the dark about the emperor's identity, they both get to leave) and is distressed about it. I think.
Anyway, Youngjung is definitely the second male lead. After regaining his real life's memories (and feelings for Yona maybe) he suddenly gets this dark, scheming look and approaches the emperor with what I assume to be hidden motives. I'm not sure if Youngjung knows that Rahnee IS Yona, though.
So in a nutshell, it looks like the emperor genuinely likes Rahnee. But again, he has related her to a girl in his past who also called him 'Sunny', so whether it's genuine love for her personality or just because she resembles this dead girl, I'm not too sure. I will say I'm personally on team Youngjung hehe

The disease is caused by malice, the more ppl who hate the FL the worse her condition becomes.
The FL's uncle is the real villain. FL's disease is a key for him to attain eternal life.
The FL and the og villainess, they're sisters. Their mum gave birth to them but since the emperor hates the mum and the mum's family hates her too she's stuck on her own. FL was a sick baby and had to leave the place. Their uncle had been experimenting on the twins (by stripping away their soul) and FL had it worse.
The reason why nobody knew about the twins is that their mum had a contract. The contract is that nobody could enter her home without her permission. She probs gave girls alone. But in the contract Libertia mother proposed to cp mother and emperor, it says that you can reveal it to your blood-related relative, so FL and Crown prince asked the emperor what is in the contract and Emperor told them
Emperor feels guilty throughout the novel. After Dante Vance is defeated, CP finds papers that describe the experiments MC and Libertia went through and shows them to the Emperor. More guilt for him...
Emperor goes to Alicia at the end of the story hoping to be forgiven by her and Alicia/MC tells him that they were never in a position to forgive/be forgiven since they have no relationship and that the only family she had was Libertia. MC mentions to him that the one he should be caring for is Libertia, but she is no longer around.
the FL gets her og body back
Libertia stays by MC as a soul throughout the novel until the end. MC occasionally gets to talk to Libertia after she recovers some memories. With the help of Spirit Kings at the end, Libertia's soul was able to be purified and she leaves the MC.
Libertia gets reborn as MC and Daniel's daughter, named Francis. (really not sure with Mtl names...) and she becomes the next emperor after CP.
After CP gets interested in MC, he slowly puts MC into his "my" category. CP cares for MC and gets extremely angry when he finds out what Vance did to her. Unlike the Emperor who pretty much just feels guilty/apologizes and doesn't take many actions throughout the story, the CP prefers to take action rather than apologizing. CP offers the crown prince's position to MC, but MC refuses. In the end, CP proposed that her child will be the next emperor and she accepts.
Libertia mother and crown prince's mother are actually friends, they didn't fight or anything and the emperor is just an idiot.
The one who killed the crown prince's mother is the uncle. Apparently, the Crown prince's mother is powerful she was blessed and is closely like a 'saint'.Uncle hunts down people who are powerful because he wants to be the strongest
Ariel is actually a nice person. She's just a crybaby. Ariel meets the FL at a meet and greet. The FL actually wrote her fav book. She cried when they first met because FL's so beautiful. Ariel tried to confess to FL but daniel saved her before Fl could taste the crown prince's wrath.
Daniel proposed during winter and then they got married in spring, it was CP and Ariel who prepared their wedding, since the time to prepare is short, FL said it is okay for a simple wedding, but you know a possessive brother and the number 1 fan of FL(Ariel) will let their favorite person have a simple wedding?? just imagine how extra those two made their wedding
Herace, Daniel, and Cain attended their wedding let me tell you how mature they are, not much about their thoughts were in the novel but they were real friends, they were genuinely happy for the both of them.
The duke, eugune and hearse. WON'T MOVE ONNNN
The crown prince and ariel have a tsundere son, who dotes on FL's daughter.

In my opinion, the relationship ended in FL's first life. The ML isn't a bad person he just made a mistake and that mistake was not telling FL about her parent's corruption, because that is what broke her. That she was living a lie.
they should move on from each other. It seems like a destructive relationship, like so much guilt is carried with two people. I can't see FL fully forgiving him for her parents death. Like this bitch hasn't even finished the grieving process in her 2nd life.
Pretty sure she already forgave him for her parents death, tho I don't think she blamed him to begin with.
yeah, she forgave him but would you date someone who killed your parents. Even though her parents were bad people, they were still her parents. I can't see her truly moved on from the ML is gonna feel guilty and he's probs gonna say 'i don't deserve you, i did so many bad things to you' so on so forth. Too much baggage to withstand a healthy relationship.

Yeah, she forgave him but would you date someone who killed your parents. Even though her parents were bad people, they were still her parents. I can't see her truly moving on from that. I mean no. She was in love with him before and after he killed her parents. They've already talked about how they felt about their past. They can have a healthy relationship through healing since their relationship started with lies so if they can heal together if they choose to.
And no. I would not be able to date someone who killed my mom/siblings/grandma because they are good people. I wouldnt be able to forgive someone for purposely killing people I care about who are innocent.
I'm sure she cared about them from the bottom of her heart, but that was only the image of themselves that they painted for her. Her road to healing isn't about them or their deaths as she holds no grudges their. It's about self guilt. She blamed herself for being ignorant to what was going on and not doing anything.
He's also already said he didn't and couldnt forgive himself for hurting her. He's basically been torturing himself psychologically after what he did. She said that he doesn't need to to that anymore tho because he's not to blame for what had to happen.
when did I say ML is to blame
The relationship has a lot of trauma and baggage from their past lives. In my eyes, i find it hard to see that the FL would totally forgive the ML (for not only killing her parents but for ruining her name, making her a villain in the village, like there are parents telling their kids they're going to be executed like her)If I was the FL I could forgive the ML for killing my parents because they were bad people, but making me a villain, Nah.
The ML is going to never recover from this, he's going to feel guilty all this time about it and he's going to say when they get together "are you sure ii did so many bad things to you", so on so forth. He will never make peace with the fact that what he did was the only thing he could do at the moment. When did I blame him?
Anyone can see that they should move on. Trauma and deaths are wrapped tightly in that relationship. It's hard to withstand a healthy relationship when there's this amount of trauma. The ML is always going to feel guilty about killing FL and her parents. So he sees himself as less than her, and no matter what the FL says she can't change his view. IN a relationship the partner must be equal, to withstand.
Going back in time he could have told the FL what's going on with her parents, and his true identity, which may help the FL drift from the path of getting herself executed.
I never said you said that.
He did not make her the villain. He knew she was innocent and wanted to send her to a monastery where he could care for her but she wanted to be executed so that the people could be at peace.
She doesn't blame him and he only feels bad that he couldn't save her. They've already talked so he can have closure about it.
He only feels bad about killing her. She only feels bad about not being able to help before it was too late. They can let go and heal from the past together. That is a healthy relationship.
Idk why you're bringing up time travel when that's not an aspect of the story as far as we know. The story has already touched upon why he didn't just tell her. Also she herself chose to be executed.
OMGGGGGS ARE YOU DUMB OR SOMETHING.
I SAID WHY TF ARE YOU BLAMING ME BECAUSE YOU WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HOW THE ML IS A GOOD PERSON. WHEN DID I FUCKING SAY HE WASN'T.
WHAT I'M SAYING IS THAT THERE'S TOO MUCH GUILT AND TRAMUA IN THE RELATIONSHIP TO WITHSTAND.
-_-
I don't know if you can read or not but I've already stated that I'm not blaming you. I've brought up points about the ml because you did.
I have also said that the trauma/guilt they feel is not something that is going to hinder their relationship based on what has already happened. They have already begun healing and can continue to do so together if they choose to.
You are free to hold whatever opinion you want even if you're wrong. I'm going to end the convo here. Good day.
