me too- i love this so much, but my small brain can't process all of this

I’ll explain. So the culling game is a death game they’re a pretty standard premise you’ve probably come across a couple times. But death games are series where the characters have to kill in order to not be killed by the rules of the game or by other people playing the game. This death game is called the death migration and its referenced in the opening of the anime it’s a reference to tropical migration of fish and their subsequent deaths.

Rule 1. after people awaken their cursed technique (the people that have been in comas this entire time) they have to declare their participation in the barrier of their choice so there may be multiple barriers and people can choose the one they enter in but they must within the 19 days)

Rule 2. Players that break this will have their curse technique removed (this means that if you awaken your powers but don’t make it inside between the 19 days you will be subject to curse technique removal and have your cursed technique removed these are different things )

Rule 3. Non players who enter the barrier will instantly be entered (so people with no cursed technique will be able to enter and it will be considered participation but it also means that civilians will probably be entered against their will)

Rule 4&5. Players score points by killing other players and non sorcerers lives are worth 1 point and sorcerers lives are worth 5.

Rule 6. Not including the points of your own life a player that gets 100 points can expend their points to add a new rule to the game (this is probably one of the rules that will be really important )

Rule 7. The game master has to accept any new rule providing it doesn’t have a long lasting effect on the game (so no rules that will make players unable to kill each other and the game master in this case is getou)

Rule 8. If a players score remains the same for 19 days then they’re subject to cursed technique removal (they might be killed by the game master the rules don’t make it that clear but it means a lot of the humans trapped might die)

Things to note
- itadori doesn’t have a cursed technique as of yet and gege has said changing memories isn’t his curse technique so we aren’t sure if there are any rules he’ll be able too not be afflicted by or if he’ll develop a technique before
- if the main cast enter they will be forced to kill someone and all of them will have to kill at least one person.
- People can enter the barrier on any day meaning someone could be inside the barrier for 19 days and someone could be inside of it for 1
- Everyone that was awakened geto/noritoshi kami has to play and all of the people that have to play were woken up by him a couple chapters ago.
- It’s not made abundantly clear if there will be cursed spirits inside of the barrier along with regular humans non shamans but that’s a very high possibility.

Ah no that’s actually a good question. So it’s not clear who started the first game or when it started hopefully we’ll get more info on that but it was probably started by kamo in one of his previous bodies or maybe someone even before him idk. But, we do know that kamo wants to bring the world back to the golden ages of curses. He’s very vocal that he’s not particularly discriminate on whether he prefers curses, humans or even sorcerers. His main intent seems to be similar to geto in that they both want to get rid of weak people and have only strong remain. Which is why a death game makes so much sense because everybody has to kill.

Omg I found Ur comment and if you don't mind I have a few questions myself....SO number one is : " do we have a limit of rules that we can had gaining points ? " (Cause in that case , I know it sounds horrible, but the players can "sacrifice sono civilian" and mainten a rule like " no killing allowed " or "enemie block (lol)" to gain some time to save Gojo )
Secondo One : " if this culling game last 19 days ....then how does the dude, that possess getou body, to have been playing for so long ( IF he had been playing ... Cause maybe he starts a new game every time ? Idk I'm very confused sorry T.T ) ?"
Last question, who doesn't really have anything to do with this culling game. Sorry but seeing how good u are catching all this information can I ask u if Todo is really death in Ur opinion ? Sorry I had to ask cause I'm on the verge of craziness ahahahah.

There were some stuff i said in my original message that for cleared up a bit better in this chapter so the drive link is more up to date i’ll still answer the questions though.

1. There’s a limit of rules that can be added to the game itself and they can’t have a large impact on future games. So there’s no chance to really avoid having to kill some civilians. I’m not sure if i understood your question correctly though. And with the gojo thing there are two major theories of how he will get out. 1. he’ll have to lose an eye to make it out of the box because of all the imagery of gojo with only one eye (covers, manga panels, etc.) and gege does like to foreshadow and the second is that geto still has some of his consciousness (we saw in the first couple chapters of shibuya arc that getos body still responded to gojo) so it’s possible that geto/kenjaku (who is the only person other than angel that can get gojo out) will open the prison realm for him

2. I’m going to correct myself a little here. The 19 days period seems to be just for entry. Meaning that the games have no predetermined end date as far as i can tell (based on knowledge for 145). So we now know that kenjaku isn’t the game leader for the culling games and he himself is in fact bind by the rules of the game so even if he does die the games won’t end.

3. Todo? ...umm we know that he’s gravely injured but we also know that shoko was able to save some of the other wounded sorcerers and take them out of critical condition. I skimmed the last couple chapters just to see but he got hit with mahitos punch which probably did some internal damage but he did concentrate all of his cursed energy in his stomach to receive the blow. So honestly i don’t know i doubt he’ll be a big player in this next arc but if he is then we will know if he’s alive pretty soon i’m hopeful though!
