I love how our Mc is just an extra avoiding the red flags the whole story
Plus, the only moments he is really puts forward as a love story protagonist (like when this childhood friend confesses to him) are in extra chapter, not even in the main story !
The author really created our Mc as an extra in his own story and it's honestly so funny

I feel like this story can be a bit misleading at first
Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this story, but I think it's understandable if some people drop it, because they expected the romantic aspect of this story much more than what it finally is.
The cover and the 1st chapters really give the vibes of a romantic story, with a unusual couple (soft guy x cool girl).
So it attracts people who like this type of dynamic of course.
However, I think that this story really SHOULD have the psychological tag.
There is a very slow burn romance, because the focus is really on the character's trauma, the complicated connexions they have (and not just Ml/Fl, but also with their friends) and the way they are really restrained by their past.
So no, Ml is not going to stop being scared and shy because of the power of love. The same goes for the Fl, seen as too cold by some people.
In my opinion the story is quite realistic in that way, and it really shows the impact of trauma on different characters, and these characters do not heal magically. We sometimes are annoyed because we wish the characters would act differently (like with more courage for Ml), but they don't because the story tries to give a realistic portrayal of characters with their own difficult past, and their flaws.
So yes there is romance, but for anyone who would like to start this story, I think you should know that this story is very much balanced between School life / Drama / psychological before romance.
And these aspects make the story have a slow rhythm. Before truly seeing the past of each character, we see the way they act on their everyday life.
So yes it's going to be long, because the author takes their time to really make the reader see the dysfonctional aspects of the main characters, and those aspects are essential because they hinder the development (also romantic) of the characters, which explains the slow burn romance.
So I think you must be a minimum interested in discovering the psychology of each character (And so their trauma) if you want to enjoy the romance, because the psychological / romantic aspects are completely linked in that story.
Basically :
Trauma in the past -> creates complex characters with a lot of flaws and paradox because of their past -> hinders the relationship between the different characters, and so very slow burn romance between our leads.
It doesn't mean the story is bad at all, but if you want to enjoy it, I don't think you will by imagining that this is a light cute romantic story, because it's not.
I'm not sure if I was very clear.
These were just some of my thoughts on this story, and why some people can be disappointed.

Definitely agree with u bro. Even the authors previous works (oneshot comics) were dark, such as a the mermaid/siren work they had which depict a young woman killing people to give their remains to her love (?). Then they also made another one shot which took place in a dystopian world overrun with zombies and ending with the MC brother turning to a zombie, biting his arm, then a sudden ally (?) had to chop off his arm to prevent the growth of it… I definitely had the first impression that this was going to be a cutesy story but after reading it along for so long, it definitely will take more than the power of love to conquer their traumas sort of like the bl manwha lost in the cloud, whereas the both ml’s have some messed up traumas and , of course, don’t have a stable relationship with one another. Gotta address and take care of both traumas ┗( T﹏T )┛

I've been hesitant to start this story by seeing the summary.
I don't really want to read an angsty story where mc falls in love with ml and gives him everything only to discover than Ml doesn't love him at all since he loves his step brother.
Is Ml at least catching feelings for Mc at a moment, and doesn't just pity him ?
I don't think so seeing the rate, but if someone could just confirm it I would appreciate it (⌒▽⌒)

I mean I don't dislike Daniel, but the romance between them is so fast.
I've always wondered whom between the 4 main guys was going to be the Ml, but then they introduce us another guy, and in 10 chapters, the Mc looks in love, without any kind of explaination to why she fell so fast for him.
And the thing is that I cared about the other guys because we saw them since a long time, the Mc learns to know them, but I don't really feel anything for Daniel. He is the mysterious dark type, but that's it. His character isn't very likable currently.
So I'm going to wait for his evolution, even if I don't really think anything of him.
Hope we will see more of his character or I will be quite disapppointed, since he is my 5th choice.
Only an opinion.
It's so cute and it changes a bit from the heavy vibes from the main story
