I love that there is not 1% romantic tension between them they just fight for the sake of annoying the other (Hestia especially) I hope it will stay that way this story doesn't need a 2nd ml especially considering Helios and Cael past issues
I mean we've already seen Helios admit his attraction towards Hestia and his jealousy towards Cael for having such an amazing wife, even promising to himself that he wouldn't repeat what happened before (them competing for a lover) so Helios is definitely attracted to Hestia but it's completely one sided.
On the other hand Hestia feels nothing but anger, annoyance and disgust towards Helios and Diana. She admits they're good looking but that's it.
Yeah now that you say it it has been a while since I've read the story so I kinda forgot about Helios develoment in the last chapters. I remember finding it forced, I really enjoyed it most when he didn't have such feelings
Also it may be an unpopular opinion but I don't think he has any real romantic feeling for her, a bit of attraction as you say but that's all.
it's quite ambiguous but to me he is jealous that his friend has a capable wife while he has to take care of all the troubles that Diana caused, basically he wishes for a supportive wife that he associates with Hestia but I don't think he really likes her as a person
I saw a few comments pointing that but even though the drawings are a bit differents I'm not sure the artist really changed they may have just changed a bit their art in a year since the characters still look essentially the same to me ?
Idk I just find the art really similar so if it's another artist they did a rather good job
I hesitated a bit because I wanted a story with not too much angst, no annoying love triangle and just a nice omegaverse. Now seeing the comments I would have just been baited by the cover lol, you've helped me avoiding a lot of future frustration by commenting so thank you all, I'll consider coming back when it's over and not before
It's quite rare to see the evolution of the author's mentality in one story as it is here
It basically starts really wrong with the usual rapey thing and uke kind of giving in but then through the volumes the author managed to create a really healthy development of their relationship, it's like the author grew with their own story which will always make this story precious to me
I started this story as eveyone hating Rashta without any problem because well we were reading from Navier's pov and she was really pissing me off
But it has been more than 200 chapters now ?
At this point isn't it pure sadism to show the girl's suffering ? I don't even like her, I hate what she does but the author showed all she went through, she was manipulated, abused, she was a slave, she wanted a better life no matter what.
Can't we pity her for a minute and see how tragic her life was, or we are supposed to see her as the villainess for everything ?
Why is she the one receiving all the hatred ? Sovieshu is the king, he was never beaten or treated as a slave but because he regrets his actions he is pitiful ? What about the ex-lover who used her then abandoned her ? The ex-lover's dad ? The guy who pretends to be her friend but uses her for his own motives ?
I will never condone her actions but why does it feel like the author kind of shift the blame to her alone by making her doing more and more evil thing while other characters like Sovieshu are seen in a more sympathetic light ?
She was put in this situation by men who have wealth and power over her and I find her character really tragic because she's always manipulated. It's a bit sad to me that some people just hate her completly but are ready to give other shitty male characters a bit of pity
AGAIN I repeat I don't condone her terrible actions
I remember there was a side AU story by the author, its a “what if Navier met Rashta first?” And its the most wholesome and beautiful side story ever. Rashta has always looked up to her and wanted to be equals/by her side. I dont condone her wrongdoings but i will always feel terrible for what she’s been through. None of this would’ve happened if Sovieshu isnt a cheating bastard, he even cheated again on Navier in the AU as well.
Damn I didn't know about this side story it's so sad to think that Rashta was just dragged into this while she was desperate and had she just be found by one different person she would have turned differently
Not surprised by Sovieshu too clearly he would have cheated with any pretty girl passing at the moment
It actually stemmed from not showing rashta's past early on the chapters. It took a long time to know what happened to her, and well, the nickname for her and soviesh*t sticks properly. So the hatred for both got accumulated before those flashbacks.
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Also, who pities soviepoops??!!! Why would they pity that person??
For me, when the chapter he found out his baby's origins after being lied to, then he hallucinated that him and navier with the baby together as a happy family, as well when the baby is calling out to him after ****, it's sorrowful. It made me cry buckets despite knowing what he did. The author made that scene very humane which I don't understand why, while rashta's ending is bad.
I thought that's good as an ending for the both of them, but sovie still coming back with more screen time. Sovie should be gone already. Their relationship should be cut off. Not this sick kind of scenes sovie's doing.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Soveishit is the root cause of allllllllllll this shit. I pity Trashta’s death but I can’t feel bad for her outcome. While Trashta was manipulated and cast aside due to her nativity, She never once thought “Maybe, this is wrong” she only thought of herself and not the hurt she would cause others. She was selfish up until the end. She was the other woman and rubbed that shit in Navier’s face all times. She never had a thought on her own and allowed a STRANGER to dictate her moves. I mean shit, what woman would take her husband flaunting his floozy around. With all that being said, it’s unfair to Trashta that she was the only one to truly suffer. I need this ass hat to suffer. Not mental anguish. I want unadulterated full body anguish where he would pray for the sweet release of death annd is never awarded it so that his soul breaks like he broke Trashta. And to find out he did this all on an assumption??? Like why bro. Ugh he makes me sick

If you look at the big picture and not just the soulmate thing we got a combo of really annoying elements :
- a disturbing age Gap that is not adressed because they are soulmates you know
- a misogynistic setting (in an omegaverse way) which is seen in the different characters dynamics (docile innocent uke/Powerful seme)
- a seme who never explains anything, who makes the uke insecure all the time (+ too old for him damn). He is just here to save the day when uke is attacked, what a man (he assault him too but well nobody is perfect) ! Annoying guy if you want to lock uke in your house which is a stupid idea btw, at least do not let your mother have access to the house
- an incredibly innocent uke who never learns from his mistakes : just to clarify he is not to blame for being attacked but after a few times we could wish he become a bit more careful PLEASE WAKE UP you scare me EVERY chapter. And why does he seem so lost, I get that he become an omega but he was a capable guy in the first chapter, why does he look this unfit to be in the aristocratic world while his parents are also originally quite rich, didn't he live in this world ? By the way the parents are total jokes to let their son go with a man they don't know like that they don't deserve to be called parents.
+ accept to come back with seme after being assaulted or going back to your best friend like you had forgot he also assaulted you I don't really know which one is the saddest, this boy needs a psy more than a lover. I see he is traumatized but I want to slap him every chapter to wake this poor delusional soul, thank god he seems to find a bit of confidence in the last chapters because despite his frustrating sides he is a victim of others and deserves to be happy
- every side characters either hate mc or want his body
- attempted assault (multiple this by 10)
We even got the mother in law giving money to stay away from her son, the cliche are clicheeing
I don't usually critic a story like that but this one got me annoyed more than others because it just adds these elements one after the other
Well omegaverse is literally a world that was made up the replicate the good old time when women were proporties.
So thats what we get in most omegaverse story.
Omegaverse could be made with omega pheromones less potent, them not having heats, and the bonding only working when both wants it and affecting both of them. But no artist change this because they fantasize of a setting the the women(uke) are at the mercy of their man.
Omegaverse started as a trope in the Supernatural fandom back in like 2010.
It has since been tailored to fit a more accurate role of portraying men put more closely in situations a lot of women see themselves in. In more lighthearted series it is used more as a way for trans folk to see themselves.
The reason why ya'll see "this is just misogyny" is 'cause that is the whole purpose. Yaoi, more recently known as BL, started as a means for opressed women to vent either their frustrations with men or their repressed sexual fantasies in a way they felt safer in. Most of you baby fujos don't know this 'cause ya'll can't take the time to research anything. Instead, you make misogynistic remarks, claim that two men having super gay buttsex is "heternormative" AND use TERF rhetoric to do so.
Whether you do this knowingly or not is beside the point. You're free to critique whatever you want, but at least learn what it means to critique something and not just stupidly bash it.
I don't know who you're so angry at really. Did I perhaps criticize the entire omegaverse genre without knowing it ?
No I gave my opinion on one story which happen to be set in the omegaverse world so it didn't require me to do an essay about the genre did it ? Thanks for the whole history about it though, but as you say yourself the genre 'has since been tailored to fit a more accurate role of portraying men put more closely in situations a lot of women see themselves in.' so it DOES shows a misogynistic world on purpose and obviously some people will like it and some won't depending on the story
Plus as I said it's the addition of elements that really made me not like the story if there was just the omegaverse I wouldn't be so put off but apparently the rest of my post wasn't interesting for you so you picked one line
But thanks for your kind comment, I will continue to "bash stories" since it's what it is to you and you're free to judge us baby fujos from above since apparently we tell a lot of bs
Yeah I get it fits the genre well, it's just really obvious in that story imo, and the age gap brings another dimension of manipulation which is why the story is so borderline to me even if it's made on purpose
it sure would be nice to have a story with mutual bonding, and binding happening only when both want it, I've never read one
