I must confess
I have read this like six times and I cried at the end every time.
This is really endearing and I love the best friend dude I hope he finds someone...
But I low key really hate the “oh they seem really close so I’m going to get insecure” trope? Is it just me?
I don’t think people should be limited to having intense or explicit emotions to just their partners. There’s going to be people out there who they’ve known longer than the MC of course it’s going to happen. I really want a manga where the MC (seme or uke it’s not dependent) sees their SO close with someone, and just treats it normally. It shouldn’t be some big story or change in the characters life and it certainly shouldn’t cause any disruptions in the relationship or mindset. I understand we’re only a few chapters in and we haven’t seen how he reacts, as well as the fact that he’s young and has an older partner. I understand this affects his reactions.
I know, I’m getting too into it it’s just fictional. But when I say this is a popular trope, I mean 7/10 of the manga I read have the same or similar scenario and it’s getting predictable and a little boring.
Other than that I really love how clean and cute this art is and I can’t wait to read more.
