(Note that if you do read all the way through to the current chapters they haven't indexed some of the latest arcs. I recommend opening a separate tab with the index in case you happen to run into the error where it skips you forward some chapters/returns you to a previous chapter when you try to go to the next one as well btw)

I think I dropped it because I thought Ning Shu was sometimes TOO black-bellied. IDR what chapter I dropped, but it got to the point where unrelated people end up being causality body count, and I wasn't into how disinterested she was at other people's lives. At least Luxia cares about the random npcs and isn't ruthless 100% of the time.

I don't read any others for similar reasons (I feel like a lot of the FMCs have a shared trait where they disregard others too much or are too vicious, or act like everyone else isn't alive). Probably spoilers? But NS in later arcs does show compassion for the other people even if they don't necessarily affect her task. She's had two arcs in the current translation where she had to take care of a baby (three technically but the 3rd one is one of my least favorite arcs, it's pretty boring) and she tries her best in all three. In the third one she actually asks her system to help her out despite it risking her mission because she wants to save the child. Of the other two she takes care of a child as a nanny (though I believe one of her goals is to make sure the child lives) in one and in the other she takes her task from a woman suffering from PPD and makes sure to raise the kid well. NS has enough heart to help others and even raise children for the host but I think early on in the arcs it doesn't show well because NS is still unsure and nervous about how her tasks are rated/seen and the system itself (something that's mentioned to her later on by a different task taker making fun of her for it).
this isn't a manga where the mc is developing and growing his powers. his powers have already grown and is already developed enough. he already had skills even before the story started
