I don't get why some of you are suspicious of Cain when there's literally flashbacks of him chapters ago, revealing why he's following Jooin. And by that hint, you can also guess the reason why he's lying to Jooin. He doesn't have any bad intentions at all, but he doesn't know any other way to pursue Jooin without making the other push him away. He acted impulsive the moment they met and lying was the only way he could salvage himself from destroying something that hasn't yet started. He didn't approach Jooin with romantic interest at all. Jooin was his master in his past life, and he remembered that. Not everything has been revealed yet but it's already obvious lmao. How could you guys still not see this? Are you skipping Cain's povs?
