The whole point of this manhwa is that they're flawed people, with the fallout at the end of Season 1 being kind of inevitable in hindsight, knowing the kind of trauma they both have from their upbringing.
Dohu just... kinda came out that way from the very beginning, and in that way he's probably more relateable to a lot of people reading this lol (Shout-out to all the neurodivergents in the chat), and the emotional trauma that came with growing up that way made him afraid of being as honest and open as he could have otherwise, thus the whole issue of not telling Juheon about his reason of approaching him being kind of unavoidable that way.
Juheon meanwhile have the issue in that he have terrible trust and attachment issues because of the whole shit with his family, and when he felt comfortable with Dohu, he commits HARD. Unfortunately that also mean that the first sign of Dohu "betraying" that trust is always going to result in a big fallout. It's also unfortunate that it happened at the same time as him being in an unstable condition because of having to see his shit ass parents' faces and need Dohu to be his comfort zone... which unfortunately he couldn't see Dohu as anymore due to that perceived breach of trust.
It's a bit of a classical tragedy in that way, since both of their hamartia ("fatal flaw") pretty much ensured that their fallout is inevitable. Other possibilities that could have prevented or minimize it (Dohu being more open and honest, Juheon being more trusting and more "stable") would require both of them not being, well, them, as up to that point there were no reasons for either of them to change that part about themselves or even be truly aware of that "flaw" about the other to try and work around it.
caught up to the raws and uehehehehe Chanyoung is really reaching new levels of hot loser top-ism. looking forward to get *that* translated lol
kinda obsessed with how wonky the proportions are. like it kinda circles around from looking bad to looking weirdly nice especially for the smut scenes lol. its giving a more polished insane 90s/00s yaoi proportions and artstyle
Also, do check out the original novel if you guys want to see more of the side characters and better paced story. The author's note pretty much admitted that they rushed through adapting the last volume lol.
dont bother with this lol. i read to the end desperate for something interesting but there's nothing. the ml is a completely unlikeable asshole and its not even toxic in the fun way.
Honestly, great season finale. There is still a lot of things to uncover about everything, since we never did actually get a full look of the important past events and all the things that make things turn out this way for both Taekyung and Heeseo.
Also, full shade to some of y'all, but have you guys try to read between the lines whether its about the plot or the character development?
The comments for this reminds me of that tweet that goes "have you seen a film before? you watch it and information is revealed."
See, this is partly a mystery series. You wait for new chapters, you read those new chapters, and information will be revealed. I hope this helps :)
this is great. always enjoy when the posessive rich top is the one who to do everything in their power just to keep their hubby by their side
Whenever I got reminded how Jongwoo's friend (Daegil) looks like in the author's note I was just fully gagged like that's NOT how i thought he would look at all.Like that's a bl top material type of looks. Maybe he and the other vampire guy will be a side couple?
i find it mildly funny how the plot and general vibes more or less treat like. international mercenary groups filled with people raised specifically to be soldiers as seriously as like a local gang/mafia/yakuza operation. like they give a similar level of gravitas between an international terrorism event as a local drug operation.
i know this isnt what most people pay attention for this type of stuff but i love how dowan is still like. giving cutie patootie energy constantly even after all that lol. im always sadge when the MC for this type of stuff lost their silly guy vibes after their powerups
honestly couples with dynamics like jigu and yewoon are the reason why i wish Switch dynamics are more common in BL in general. like you cannot convince me that these two wouldn't switch every once in a while. not when everything about Jigu tells us that he will enjoy that too
This gerting a side story 7 years after the original ended is wild. Not complaining tho. This is genuinely one of my favorite manhwa ever. The art style in the side story is a bit... hmm. I thought I might be misremembering stuff but nope, the original artstyle is smoother and have better proportions. Looking forward for more anyway
i guess next "arc" is probably gonna be more about the immediate surrounding for ijin. i kinda missed the high school gang
with each info it just keeps getting revealed more and more how much the Numbereds genuinely like. Trust Ijin. Like both on a pragmatic and non-pragmatic sense he really is the best they can ask for. He have no particular ego so he's not gonna be tyrannical, but he's also strong enough to keep them in line if needed, and for a few of them (especially 002, 005, 006, and 008) the emotional connection is definitely there, and the trust is mutual, so ahakks. God I love them so much!!! My murder hobos.
god i need them all to find their peace. settle somewhere nice close to ijin's family. go out to murder shady people once in a while as enrichment and bonding activity.
