Technically he’s not innocent. He revealed all types of information about her the entire time he worked for her including that she was leaving the mansion on top of what TIME she was gonna leave. That is ridiculously sensitive information to relay about the sole head of your house let alone her being FEMALE. Like tf?? There’s no excuse because he wouldn’t have done that if she was the previous head. (The kids mother)

Well at least he felt regretful, basically he's just like her children though a lil bit worse because he revealed those things, her children also makes jokes and never thought about how will their mother feel. Just like Shuli's children, the Knight didn't know that it well happen to Shuli, he trusted the man because he thought he was his friend. What I'm saying is, he felt guilty, sad, sorry and regretful, he may not be completely innocent and has contributed in Shuli's death, but at least he was sorry( the poor guy was pretty shocked, that he wasn't able to defend himself against the accusations) . In my opinion pinion he doesn't deserve to be framed, accused and be killed, at the first place he followed Shuli's carriage because he knows what he said/or his reaction when Shuli said she wants to leave immediately, was too much. Anyways I understand your point ^.^

Nah I agree he doesn’t deserve to be framed but I don’t want him to get away from the fact that he did in fact cause her death, if they ever find out that it was his friend that was being a spy. It’s one thing for the kids because they’re kids and even shuli says multiple times throughout the story that she now understands that the kids never shut her out in the first life, she had shut them out and they just matched her energy which made her think they never liked her in the first place. Like it was just a misunderstanding on both sides. But like for a knight that’s your job. Emotions be damned. It doesn’t matter if he didn’t respect her personally or agreed with her actions. He should have never revealed that information. I have sympathy but he did it to himself too. I hope that they acknowledge that in the story

And like the kids were literal kids. To compare children with the oldest being like 13 and the youngest being like 8 to a grown ass man who had been a knight for a very long time and understands the loyalty and know-how that comes with the job, is a bit of a stretch. That man was in charge of her life and literally took no precautions with his actions towards her because of personal feelings while the kids lost their literal mother AND father and had to look up to a 16 year old who acted like at the time, she didn’t wanna be around them. Like of course the kids are gonna retaliate they’re kids. They have no maturity. If they think you don’t like them or wanna be around them, they are definitely gonna act out. That is literally what children do. So the comparison there is very weak.

But like yea. Sorry didn’t mean to go on a tangent. It’s just like I feel for shuli and the kids even though they were brats in the first life. But after reading the story you can see that it was all a misunderstanding. I also feel for the knight but like I’m mad that he felt the need to disrespect shuli like that. Like they slaughtered her and it was possible because of him and his big ass mouth. So I see where you’re coming from but ig all I’m trying to say is that he doesn’t deserve as much sympathy as the kids because the circumstances are weighted on totally different scales. But anyways, sorry if I come off as rude. The abrasiveness is from the fact that the knight lowkey pissed me off lol. Not towards you

I totally understand your opinion, because that's what I feel towards the Oldest Son's fiancé hahahaha and I'm happy that you get my point. Oh I really thought there's something about theme, the way the deceased husband of Shuli stares to the last Empress' portrait and why did he specifically chose Shuli. It's just me and my imaginative butt >. < Anyways thank you! And if you have read the novel, can you please send us the link ^.^ I really want to dig deeper and understand the whole situation they're in, from the church( those madapaker Priests), the King, the deceased husband and Shuli's importance.
