I can tell you one thing. His mom is a b***h.

The mom appears shallow, but that could be because her entire self-worth depends on her appearance. The Dad is also a jerk--work or not, he chose the woman to be the mother of his son based on her being good arm candy and then he treats his son like another object in his home.Maybe the dad is obsessed with work because it is expected, maybe he is avoiding home. Maybe the mom and dad are both depressed because they have each bought so heavily into the most superficial gender role ideals possible. No wonder a person whose's disorder makes him asocial appeals to Kurose.

haha yeah. There are too many maybes. But life shapes us to hold certain bias for some topics. And I think parenting is one of them for me. So i get harsh on bad parents. If a person is not capable of taking care of their child or didn't even want them in the first place should not even have a baby in the first place or if too late give up the baby for adoption. In Ten Count the mom just seemed too self absorbed to even try to give proper care. The dad especially pisses me off. He already seems to think he has no role in bring up a child and women's job is just to look pretty (judging by the way he treats his wife). Like you and J Unleashed said, it might all be due to mental illness. But, as it is a story and i m most likely not going to get background on the parents, my first instinct is that they are horrible parents and I hate them. The only thing im thankful for their characters is that thanks to them horrible parents we have Kurose meet someone, which made a gateway for him to understand and fall in love with Shirotani.
Wow... My heart.
