I understood everything and nothing so I was left confused. The characters all looked alike so I had no idea who was talking half the time and the pacing was odd and the conversations were boring. Sometimes it felt like the author wasn’t sure where to take the story. Usually I’m sad when a story ends quickly and abruptly but I was relieved this time.

I want to like this, I really do, but I'm struggling with the character's ages. Like, 10 years is okay when one is 36 and the other 26 because both are full-grown adults capable of making complex relationship decisions. But 16 and 26? That's a hard one for me to get behind. Not that long ago, he was in middle school. If the genders were reversed and a man said, “She came onto me first” we would all cringe and crucify him, so it shouldn't be different with an older woman. Ideally, she should be like “holla at me when you're done with college” and time skip.

I dont think about the age gap bc she has the mental age of a 14 y/o girl. And im not saying it to defend the book, im insulting the book. Like 16 and 26 is disgusting she should be in the jail i know. But she doesnt act like 26. He acts more 26 then she will ever act 26. So their romance doesnt bother me in a sense that “woah there is a huge gap”. The book bothers me bc whoaaah wtf is that girl doing. But im with you on the time skip.
I'm all over the place with how I feel about this one. I like the artwork but I also hate it? Like, why are they all hunched over? Is there a spinal issue in this world so no one can have a straight back? The faces started off okay but still a little goofy and then downgraded. I do appreciate the fact I can tell the characters apart, I hate it when they all look the same. And the plot…full on frustration with the lot of them. You can have an edgy story and still have them communicate instead of running away.
