I think it's quite an old manga, and maybe DNA tests didn't exist at that point. Maybe. Idk. Just speculating

DNA first came out in the 80's.
It could be used at that point, but it wasn't as easy to get DNA tests as it is now.
A boyfriend whose olayboywill leave you in tears many days but the moment he stops is goofing around and makes you his top protity. Isnthe best buuuuut having a yankee or a delinquent Boyfriend could have its perks as well. I would hate to see him hurt but playing nurse and having to bandage him up has a little kink to it.
