k so the slave doesnt die.he gets tricked. he really loves penelope. crap i hope im writing her name right. anyways so what happens is. the real daughter comes back and tells him that in order for him to have penelope all to him self , he needs to help the her (the real daughter) get rid of penelope from her position. but hes getting tricked and in the end “sacrifices him self for penelope. but he doesnt die. in the side story of the novel. it is showed that he is now just wondering around the world with no memories. and one day penelope sees him but she doesnt want him to see her. or else he will remember all the pain she caused him to suffer. :( he was honestly just lost in love. i home he gets a different ending then in the novel. isit just me or did the translation became bad from chapter 44 onwards (〜￣△￣)〜
