Despite having a successful surgery he had died in post-operative because of sudden high blood pressure. He had a similar problem as the emperor in the manhwa, vascular clotting.
The clot was removed successfully but 2 hours in post-operative and his blood pressure increased which resulted in brain hemorrhage.
So, that's why I always feel uncomfortable if it's shown anywhere that doing an operation is enough to save a life. Because there are lots more after that.
