In the novel Kael supported Diana till the end. If you are thinking that there will be chemistry between Hes and Kael then forget it. Cuz honestly there is none, apart from them heaving a steamy night.
Noooooo, Kael was already head over heels for Hestia… SPOILERS !!
Kael only supported her to stay on the throne bc Helios BEGGED Kael. Kael explains it to Hestia, but she didn’t know it was bc Helios begged Kael to keep Diana on the throne. Kael’s opinions mattered the most bc he was now a Duke, and everyone respected his opinion. Helios personally came over to their Duchy bc he knew Hestia would be quite sad about why Kael did that, so he explained the whole thing, and that Kael wasn’t to be blamed. Also, before Diana’s dethronement news, Kael outed the temple of their crimes during an imperial meeting which was very unexpected for Diana and Helios, which made her reputation crumble even harder. Kael was one of the reason why Diana’s reputation worsened. Why would he do all that if he never gave up on Diana? It’s bc he got over her, and was completely in love with Hestia already.
But honestly everything was pointless, at the end of the day she still got dethroned. Ik that Kael did because Helios begged but he still could refuse cuz Hes goal was for Diana to know what 'desperation' (somenthing like that) and wanted her to truly apologies. So Diana getting dethroned was her ultimate achievement [Ik at the end Helious did said how would she feel if she did achieve her goal]. But Kael destroyed that. Even if he did expose the temple and it did effect Diana. But not to the point that she in 'desperation'.
Plus I would loved if the author showed how Hes and Kael deepened their bond, communication, relationships. But no he focused on Helious and Diana which was frustrating to be honest.
I was so sad when she said that "I don't want to see Kael face". She always loved him but what got her at the end nothing. [In my OPINION Kael did the bare minimum when it came to Hes. Even after he started to love her. + i felt like Helios begging for everything from the party to keep Diana was selfish and he somewhat took advantage more likely he took Kael for granted. But that's just my opinion]
So Edith is a big softie. She "technically" forgive 'everyone'. It was kind of frustrating reading cuz she suffered a lot and actually resigned to fate because of them. Killan was actually not bad, when he rembered how he treated Edith he retreats and feels guilty. And I don't think I actually read where anyone really apologise to her. And just forgive them cuz they were manipulated.
Somenthing about Edith that made frustrated is that she is too forgiving. If you are looking for badass FL then Edith is not the one. When people apologise to her she was like oh its okay its not like it couldn't be helped because they were manipulated by the author. Like the mental and physical abuse just didn't matter.
Bus overall it was a good read.
You know I would have agreed and wished for her father and brother to be mercilessly butchered, but not all fl are badasses and it’s ok. From her personality in past life, she was meek and just trying to survive, if she had to take revenge, the real revenge would be on her Korean family not the characters in the novel because she knew they were manipulated. Her real family was extra notch of trash and deserved hell.
I like that part especially tbh: her being forgiving because let's face it - after years of abuse (if you are not completely broken mentally) you would cling to the sence of peace even at the expence of your well-being. Revenge... badass... That is like eating your own flesh when you are starving - totally self-destructive. Edith goes for a healthier attitude: why keep a grudge against this brainwashed characters? Better leave this all in the dust
it was indeed frustrating but also like kinda good way too especially if you're an angsty freaker like me ;; w;; pain was good in this one.
one thing that didn't meet my satisfaction was Lize's ending lol she just had an unhappy marriage cuz she was so spoiled and became a huge problem to cliff and in-laws(good riddance) and was sent away somewhere? ugh.
I mean, everything in her brain is just about money, she doesn't care about her surroundings. She got engage with that guy because he was a higher position than her. And now she has the idea of that sweet to sell in her shops. The story is just dragging at this point. At first it was fun to read cuz it was interesting but now is just bland.
Some people are saying that they can't understand google translate. But I can understand and comprhense what they are saying... or is it just me. I think is pretty good rather than complaining you should be thanking the person who is translating because you atheist can read in English rather than in japanese
Don't know of a discord where you can learn them butttt their is a free site online for learning and it is said to be very good. It's called LingQ. I hope this helps a bit. And as for discord groups, often times scanlation groups will post their discord server number asking for new recruits. Best of luck to you (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Can you please tell me of it was really Philip who wrote the letter to Jennie and intentionally humiliated her or was everything just a misunderstanding?
