This is so heart breaking and disappointing.
Why did she think that there were no place she can go back to. Lily is obviously naive and ignorant. She keeps on blabbering about love without knowing that Anna is giving that love she is seeking but not wanting. She clearly doesn't want Anna's love. It is not the kind of love that she wants. This kind of story will end up her regretting that she let go of the love that will make her happy. By the time she knew what she need, Anna will have someone else to pour her love.
Lily is disappointing. Duchess is the failure in humanity.
Anna should also know how to fight for her love. Given the circumstances they were tied up with, it would still be a tragìc ending.
