I don't know if stuff like that happens (but it wouldn't surprise me, bad bosses have been around since there have been bosses. And the medical field is no exception). But I do know that there are surgeons who won't do certain operations because of the low chance of success. Not out of any concern for the patient mind, just that it might hurt their statistics.

eh... i have no connections to any of the characters but the main one. like both of these girls, who seem to be apart of his new crew, i have no feelings about. they could drop dead and i wouldn't care at all, so. idk. i have no idea of the abilities or powers possible in this world, so i don't even know if what they are doing is... special?

again, people hate things being compared to solo leveling, but in my opinion it's one of the things they did INCREDIBLY WELL-

it's the world building. the idea of hunters, hunters abilities, dungeons, everything is laid out and explained almost IMMEDIATELY. so when the main character got his own abilities, i had other characters to compare the main character too. it's exciting. i can go "omg but if he could do this!!! that would be awesome!"

and that's what i find lacking in this story. the beginning was easy to follow and really well done, but now it's on the level where i have nothing to compare him to. it's basically like watching a god do whatever he wants in a world i don't know much about. i feel like he has nothing to lose. he has no competition, and if you say the competition is literally this god thing, it's hard to understand.

i don't know. maybe that's why it may seem more cringe.

no! actually i disagree! i am fully aware of the character's abilities and powers in solo leveling. yes he's op, but I also got to see every single step of him getting there, and because I am fully aware of everyone else's status and placement in terms of power, I completely enjoy him being OP!

but i am saying that this story may give off a... fake? sort of feeling because you have no idea of everyone else's abilities. i don't even know what a 'master' is (i think it was master right?) so when he said (about the pink haired girl) she is approaching he leveling of master, I'm sort of like :/ okay

then taking a look back at solo leveling, when he said he was in s class, i was SO HAPPY. because i had seen him fight people in different classes, seen different abilities and the impact each of them had on the world. (for example nicknames, legends, etc...). I was looking at other characters and knowing that ah, this person could beat this person because of THIS. so when sung jin woo fights anyone, i already have an idea beforehand of the situation. he constantly kept us updated on his personal situation compared to everyone else.

looking at this story, could he beat the dragon he fought in his past life now? how strong was that dragon? i understand he isn't as strong as he used to be, but what about modern technology?

(correct me if I'm wrong) but in my mind, the abilities were explained INCREDIBLY WELL in the beginning. i loved it! but along the way, i lost a sense of way the abilities were because of the magic. the magic that does not follow the rules of the abilities that were explained early on. in the beginning, it was cool! but then it got hard to understand because the same laws and limits weren't being explained or applied.

so, I'm saying that-
i was completely aware and excited about what sung jin woo would do when he got his abilities. it's easy to compare to, and power levels never really change, almost ever.

in comparison, this story set up a power system that was fun and easy to understand, and although it is cool he can basically bypass all of that, it made it confusing and i lost a grip overall.

of course, i still love this story a lot! and solo leveling does have it's flaws, but just thought i would explain further on my reasoning for the first post.
