I was gonna skip this because I happened to not be in the mood for a story abt palace politics and fighting for the throne, but the initial few chapters looked familiar so I had to continue where I left off. I kinda hope all 3 brothers are amicable in the end; for now the blonde prince kinda sus and the jade prince is helping MC to fight his mother that's forcing him onto the throne

Misunderstandings made into comedy are only funny up to a certain point. It gets frustrating after a while, especially when the non-comedy misunderstandings are the cause of his trauma and future tragedies. This story just makes me stress and depressed instead of enjoyment.

Chanced upon this again and finished the remaining 30 chapters of season 1. I may not rmb how depressing it was when I first read it, but it did a great job reminding me exactly how depressing it was. The demonic plant that accompanied him, which was creepy at first but cute afterwards, killed itself on MC's blade so MC wouldn't be caught for being on the same side as the plant. His brother has been protecting MC in his own way while letting MC hate himself, in the end he died in front of the MC to protect him.
