The girl is so preoccupied with the bad end that it has totally blinded her, causing her to only see the prince in a bad light and unable to even show an ounce of sincere gratefulness for anything he did for her.
Even if he does have ulterior motives, gratefulness should still be shown when it's due, because the fact that he did do something doesn't change.
I wish the main characters transmigrated into games or novels would take the plot they knew with a pinch of salt; to take note of the details, but not be overly obsessed with them at the same time. (╥﹏╥)
Right! This is what annoyes me in those stories. The MC are always obsessed with the plot. And when they change stuff, they wonder why thing aren't happening exactly like the book or game. The don't seem to realise that the characters are now human beings and not just 2D characters that are either pure good or pure evil.
There's a fujoshi/fudanshi (shall keep their gender a secret) constellation, who appears very often in the novel. I love that whenever there's a bromance moment between Dokja (MC) and JongHyuk (Regressor), the constellation will always get hella excited. XD Then there'll be messages like:
[The constellation _________ is faintly blushing.]
Or
[The constellation _________ is wiping their nose.]
Ahhh. The bromance and the constellations are my favourites. (。♡‿♡。)
The misunderstandings, the twins getting manipulated so easily, everything. The twins always talked about how the only people they could trust are each other, that they have trust issues. Okay, fine. But if they were going to have "trust issues", that should apply to EVERYONE. It's not like they are real kids. They should know that not everyone are exactly like they act on the surface.
Maybe I'm biased. Since I know that the royal family really care about them, I get really frustrated when I see the huge efforts they placed into taking care of them all gone to waste from that asshole Duke's manipulation. Fucking.... T_T Plus, being born into an imperial family that doesn't have the princes going at each others' throats is just heaven sent. How rare is such an imperial family?!!
I don't hate that the FL is useless. I can understand her circumstances and with the situation she's in, what can she do? Against those deplorable human beings? Talking doesn't get through those thick skulls of theirs, and not like she could fight. This is why I really dislike humans; they make me sick.
Although those foolish human beings are just unlucky. Who will easily believe that a dragon exists? They rather believe her to be a witch and a threat to the kingdom.
I wouldn't have minded if the whole story centered around Dani and her 5 close friends, and maybe figure out how to keep her there. And what each of their reactions will be when she disappeared on March 2nd but they don't rmb her anymore, so they'll get hella confused when they look at things that don't make sense to them, example, Ju In's post-it notes.
For those wondering how the novel differs and whether to read. (I only started reading from the part where Maria healed the arm of Yun Seora)
Overall, the webtoon focuses more on Seol and friendship, while the novel balances between action, harem and world building. What's protrayed as friendship here becomes harem in the novel.
The novel has a lot of harem moments, mostly with badass or crazy girls turning bashful, flirty and/or seductive with Seol. If you really DETEST harem, you're better off sticking to the webtoon because they left such scenes out completely. (So far) However, with Seol behaving like a Beta, they felt more like younger and older sisters rather than a love interest, tho it doesn't deter them from plastering themselves onto Seol.
However! The action scenes in the novel are splendidly done. Whenever Seol was in a precarious moment, I felt like my heart was in my mouth. It really felt like he'll die at any moment. That's where the webtoon pale in comparison. If you think the action scenes in the webtoon are good, then the novel is 10 times better, much to my surprise. It's enough for me to overlook the harem, which is a tag I really dislike.
There are also a lot of details left out in the webtoon. Example, details of what happened during the impossible mission. And that after leaving the tutorial, everyone was sitting on different benches and signing contracts. (kim hannah placed out two contracts for Seol - one is Sinyoung's and one is her personal one) And how to use the portal back to Earth and the storage locker. And what Seol experienced on Earth was muchhh more detailed and sad.
If you're curious about the harem scene that was left out in the webtoon, read on.
[Spoiler...i guess?]
After Yun Seora's arm was healed by Maria, she shifted to Seol's room because his room accelerates healing (smtg along those lines), accompanied by the Yi siblings.
At night, Yun Seora couldn't sleep, so she went to squat beside Seol who was sleeping on the floor. She went from poking his hand, to holding it, to crawling over to sniff his hand, to rubbing her cheek against his hand, and then to lying on his chest and falling asleep. Apparently, she felt comfortable with his body scent. When Seol woke up to find her asleep and hugging him, he thought she fell off the bed. So, he slept on the sofa the next night, yet the same thing happened. He ended up sleeping in the bathtub with the glass door locked the following night, but he woke up to see Yun Seora with bloodshot eyes, plastered agaisnt the glass door and glaring at him.
