I actually feel bad for wilhelm. He did everything and carried out Rein's revenge but she still left him.

Well she did have every intention of staying with him forever, then she found out he plotted the cold blooded murder of her closest friend. If he hadn’t done that, they never would have separated. I get that he helped her through everything, but that’s not a small indiscretion to just get over. I don’t understand why people act like she was just ungrateful and left him over some little spat. What he did was a big deal. She was even willing to consider forgiving him , but he failed her test because when he saw Dietrich alive his first reaction was to go for his sword, just confirming that he was malicious.

But she treated their son horribly. Her own flesh and blood. She is just a selfish person. She doesn't care about others since she only cares for herself

I haven’t gotten that far yet and obviously child abuse is never acceptable, but just within their relationship, her choice to leave was completely understandable. They’ve both done some sketchy stuff, but I’m talking about their actions within the framework of their relationship. People keep shitting on her for leaving, then turn around and justify shitting on her for all these other reasons (that have not been confirmed in the comic yet, but are from the novel it’s based on) that are completely unrelated to Dietrich killing Dietrich, lying about it, then reacting negatively when he found out he was actually alive.

feel bad for Willhelm? He's a manipulative bastard. He got plenty of his own revenge. they both are tragic characters but as usual the female characters are worse for it. ugh

i get where you’re coming from but like you see how he’s acting because of this fake pregnancy and how’s he continually has acted towards her even when she DID want to talk, it shouldn’t have to be her who pulls the flack and asks where is this and where is that, her LEGALLY bound husband should be asking HER those questions

Sorry, what was the methods she use? If you don't mind spoiling? I have read bits of spoilers from the novel but not all of it. From the little I've read, her brothers, especially Derrick gave her such a hard time no matter what she does so I couldn't really hate the MC (but I didn't read everything). Also, I couldn't believe the big betrayal she gets from someone.... And also the piece of work of a sister too...The story was sad and it was only the ending that made me slightly satisfied. I stopped reading it for a bit after reading the spoilers because it feels like everything was working against her- much like what the title says

If you skipped the whole novel that's normal you don't understand her choice because there is a big character development of the male lead and the relationship is very well built but if you skip it all sure you won't be able to get attached to the characters

I think that you shouldn't project labels that apply to you onto fictional characters.

I understand some will hate her methods. It's not like i all agree with her. But still i gotta say she's not trash at least in my opinion. Maybe you could use nicer word like she's selfish or whatever. Trash rather very harsh word.. I feel very bad knowing some people saying she's trash. Tbh i love her. Others will see your review so i think i could reply some too in case people will just take it all in.

We can see she has flaws. She's selfish for her own goals. She's not like typical protag manhwa who mind other so much, has forgiving heart, bright personallity. And she's often behave nonchalant. I understand coz she has limited choice, we can't just excuse her for behave like "that". But so what..? We know from the start she's not like any other protag. She has her development character. And the story went executed well too..

For the ML i'm sorry but i don't really understand why would you hated him? From what aspect caused you think like that? I mean it's okay you hated pene's choice and dislike the way she ditched others. But how could you hated Kallisto as his own being? He's the sweetest and loyal madman ever :(

I did not expect my comment to rouse so many replies. I know how her relationship with the crown Prince bloomed, I read that part and really disliked it. Despite how good the ML turned out to be, it does not change the fact that she indirectly caused the death of the one person who she manipulated thoroughly. He died so pitifully and she has a happy ending with her Prince. Is that not a spiteful ending?

Did you finish reading the story until special chapter? If you did. You must know he didn't die. Someone random took him when he was in state of dying and he turned out got amnesia. He became mercenary (if my memory stays right) but he instinctively felt hateful and longing for Penelope. He once met her and started hiding wandered around her until one day he showed up when Pene was in danger. Then they talked and clear things. Later he chose to move to other country

Dude you cursed her too much that you're probably going to wake up as Penelope afyer falling asleep. She's so damn good, we probably would be death because we'd have been refused to eat that damn disgusting food at the beggining of the game. I really respect to the villainess reincarnations. They're so strong, i'd cry and try to kill myself. My ass can't stand those kind of hardships.

I do agree she used him but if you read novel- he kind of did an eye for an eye because he liked her so much. Pretty much destroyed everything she worked for. I don't know dude- I won't say he had a spiteful end. Also, the one of the comments below explains the rest. I think if he didnt betray her- things would have turned out nicely. When I was reading that petson- I even started to dislike him! I was shocked by the betrayal.
