From what I gather it seems you shipped a noncanon couple. That by itself is not wrong, but you must always remember balance. Despite it being fiction, “shipping” can be taken to an unhealthy level and I understand why your friend was uncomfortable. Honestly I get uncomfortable when people ship underage people for obvious reasons. I think you need to reevaluate your relationship with queer couples because you sound like the path you are on may lead to a fetish/obsession with gay men. Remember to separate fiction from reality. It's too cliche, things are going way fast there is no character development, I can't believe those nobles have become high ranking nobles with their lil brains, everything seems to revolve for them, it's like the theme is "heroes always win" the villains are more worst than I've seen in cartoons, I've seen this kind of story way too many times in Chinese mahnwas and the plot that is was made by the author was rushed, he/she didn't think or create a much more interesting scenario. He/she's like baby-feeding everything for the protagonists to make their lives easier but it's way too much you know? I like the concept of the story it is interesting but like I just said everything is revolving around "just" for them.
