I think in their world, the idea of justice is seriously twisted, like you can obv tell, even MC is realized how broken their world is. You know why? War and hierachy. If there was no hierachy, there would have been no need for slaves and whatnot. And if people had just a normal conversation, it would solve things much more than just... "Slaves are the victims! So we have the right to kill you nobles" or "Slaves are lowly people! They don't deserve equal rights to us high nobles". I'm no pacifist but I wish the world wasn't full of corruption and power. If the nobles hadn't actually been such bitches from the start and if there was no slave system... everything would've been peaceful... probably. But all humans are corrupted by something and nothing will ever change that, so I guess war and corruption was inevitable from the start ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I guess that's why I like this comic. It shows the corruption and pain everyone is going through, regardless of status, all for what? Fame? Power? To protect your pride? To protect the ones you love? The MC throwing everything away to get his point across or... whatever he is doing (I'm quite confused since I haven't exactly re-read the comic yet), but in the end... he'll end up dying alone in the future... probably.

I think the main reason the mother even left in the first place was cuz she wanted to leave her past behind.
