It's truly sad how clever the antagonist thinks she is. All she does is get bested by the protagonist and then in effort to stay in the game and obtain the Empress position - when the Emperor has clearly shown how little he likes her character + sees through her acting - she just throws away everyone who is closest to her. Soon she's going to be all alone and have no one left to throw under the bus!

I feel sad for Jeanette. All she wants is a family but she can't seem to connect the way she wants to with Athy - or anyone, really. I was holding out hope that Jeanette's dad (which is who I'm 100% sure is the black haired guy in Ezekiel's house) started loving her or forming some unexpected attachment to her but the end of this last chapter crushed that pretty thoroughly. I'm really dreading all the ways Jeanette will be manipulated and used by this guy next season. I hope she has a good ending, she's just an innocent girl.

I was willing to invest in this series despite the odd timeline/repeated jump back and forth but I just... cannot enjoy these characters. On their own, the ML and MC are interesting but I don't find their current iterations interesting... maybe if we saw more of their past relationship and how it came to be I'd be able to enjoy it more. But the chemistry is seriously lacking (and for good reason! I think she's well within her rights to be displeased and unhappy with our ML).
I like the relationship between the siblings the most and would've preferred if there was more focus on our MC becoming a knight.. all this other drama feels like it's dragging on already and it's too intricate and muddled to really feel any interest for. It's a shame because I really like the art style. :(
This should honestly have a higher rating, it's so good??? Not only is the art pretty but the artist does the expressions really well and the story so far is intriguing and well-done! There's a really healthy balance of seriousness / humor, I love it
