yk these types of novels will only ever be good if in the end the mc will choose the commoner yet hardworking and loving guy who loves her. and instead of choosing to be trapped in a situationship and going through hardship with the shitty rich kid, the mc settles down with the commoner and lives a mundane but happy and peaceful life where she chose herself and peace first. leave the ML behind, leave the shitty broken promises, leave the heartbreaks and choose a boring yet peaceful one where you’d start a family with a guy who loves you and doesn’t abuse you.
seriously im so sick and tired of these novels bro, imagine the mindset this ingraines on the younger people who don’t have a set standard for love. they always make the mc a social climbing, gold digging person, even though she NEVER wanted any of those in the first place and only ever wanted love.
And what’s up with the “only the young master has shown me love and took care of me, all i’ve ever known was violence” bs. so that lady that gave you extra meat to feed yourself was just a figment of your imagination? so mynos’ kebabs were just a random hallucination? so the maid you met first and fed you was just a dream? and all the other people who showed love and care for you despite not being able to fully protect you yet tried their best in their own ways????
this is so bs. i didn’t even hate the mc all that much but now that i think about it, she’s delusional. why does only the young master’s tiny ass chocolate matter? why does only his reluctant gazes, his hidden words matter???? all these other people showed you more affection and ONLY the young master cared for you in your eyes? bffr. im sure he was the only one that mattered because he was handsome and rich and seemed like, if he really wanted to, he could save you and be your prince charming. he has done NOTHING for you except give you crumbs of affection and like a hungry stray you lapped that up disgracefully. i understand that she came from a horrible background but it pisses me off how she only ever acknowledged the young master as her shining light and never the ones who truly loved and cared about her. she’s obsessed with an illusion.

FRR!!! It's seriously annoying how these novels keep pushing the same old toxic relationship tropes. Like, why can't the MC just choose the chill, loving guy who actually cares about her? Settling for some rich jerk who doesn't treat her right is just plain dumb!!!! And you're spot on about the damaging message these narratives can send to younger audiences. We need stories that break the mold and show that it's okay to choose yourself and find happiness with someone who respects you, instead of chasing after some fantasy.

yk what i hate, its the fact that the blonde girl practically doesn’t exist in this lifetime. i know, i get it, its in the title but its just not satisfying yk. it feels like she got hand-me downs, like instead of her being better and liking her more, they liked her more because the blonde wasn’t there and that pisses me off like i feel like the blonde girl won because this is actual torture(to feel like they don’t like you for you but because your “sister” doesn’t exist so they have no choice but to like you instead) AND YK WHAT THE BLONDE BITCH WANTED???? for her to live MISERABLY.
idk if im making sense but im at like chap 20 and im so sure it wont get better. the only way to make it better is if the blonde girl appears and face slapping occurs.

+ it feels like she took the blonde girl’s place and filled in her shoes rather than make her own place in the world and prove the blonde girl wrong and that the mc is indeed better than the blonde. like thats so icky brooooo i want her to be BETTER than that bitch not good enough if the blonde wasn’t there.
ik there’s probably gonna be some plot where “they were manipulated by the blonde” but it feels like the lack of presence of the blonde is whats wrong. because they kept being drawn to the mc without her doing anything and it feels like the mc is doing the manipulating. it doesn’t feel satisfying and it feels like they’re forced to like her even when it’s against her will, like im actually just waiting for her to be called out as a villain. it feels like shit omg im not sure if im making sense but if u get it u get it yk

yeah ik but her receiving all this love doesn’t feel as justified and as satisfying than if she was in a timeline where she didn’t let the older sister use her powers and showed everyone else the terrible side of her older sister.
even if the sister wasn’t as powerful as her it was evident that she was at least well liked, if not by the duke’s family then everyone else. and the mc herself gets nightmares about people blaming her for taking her sister’s place making it seem like SHE’s the imposter even though the sister was the fake all along.
it doesn’t feel great and it feels like she lost to her sister because the only way she’d win(be loved and deemed as powerful) was if it were in a timeline where her sister was gone.
sorry i yapped but hopefully this kind of explains it?
wake me up when this is done bro
