God just reread this for the spooky season, and this is really just one of those stories that make you cry stupid at the end and feel emotions that are indescribable. I’m very happy for them :’)

Wow this is such an interesting story! I wonder what direction it’s going to go. I wonder if the author is going to make our main characters the antithesis of the usual morally good hero archetype, I think it would make the story 10x interesting if it does go that route rather than just having the aliens be the villains outright, and I hope it is going to be more complex than that . While I don’t think it’s wrong to find similarities in the story to real life, I think a lot of this has to be taken with a grain of salt as the story has just begun and I think a lot of it opens up an interesting discussion of xenophobia. I really do hope people gain some media literacy that just because someone writes a story about something bad doesn’t mean that they support it irl (most of the time atleast).
