
Hmm. I don’t know. Did the webtoon artist/s fail to depict YJH’s emotional devastation as strongly as in the novel, or did readers exaggerate his feelings of devastation in their imagination based on their own interpretation of the scene?
If they intended to make this less ~gay~, I feel like the choice was made in consideration with the large demographic that the manhwa caters to, which would include a lot of straight and homophobic readers.

The webtoon artist definitely did erase most of the emotional scenes in this chapter. Even scenes for other characters like Lee Hyungsung and Lee Gilyoung.
But to be fair, most of the "emotion" I would say comes from all the inner monologue. It would be hard to depict all that in a chapter without just being a speech bubble fest. It's still disappointing, but nonetheless I enjoy the manhwa.
If the altercations were also due to some homophobic people (which is highly likely due to not everyone in Korea being accepting), that would truly be a shame.
