For some reason,I like drawing female characters with pixie/bob cuts and male characters with long or longish hair. Not sure if this also exactly related to the exact question but some of my favorite character designers includes Yoshitaka Amano,Tomomi Kobayashi,Ayami,Kojima,Yoji Shinkawa,Kazuma Kaneko,Shigenori Soejima and Masayuki Doi.

Definitely beauty marks for me too! Under the eye or the lip is really appealing to me.
