When I first started reading I thought that girl who talked to Heesu early on and her crush were going to be the side-pairing. I should've known better than to expect a GL side pair in a BL comic, but I can dream. It's ok, it's still one of the best webcomics I've read.
Why even do the abusive teacher storyline if you're just gonna have one of his victims end up with the guy who arrested him? Was the cop in his late 30s sleeping with a kid his son's age really any better? All of the interactions between the two characters, like from their introduction, were creepy as hell. Was I supposed to like either character? Chase was creepy and Joel was a shitty dad. Like he literally declares his son to be his enemy because he doesn't know his dad cares about him, when he's never even told him he loves him? He's a fucking teenager and he's supposed to intuit that you love him when you never act like it? When you're always telling him to be more like the kid you wanna fuck? And when you tell him that you can "put up" with him being gay? Why is Jesse the mature one in this relationship? And he says he doesn't date because he doesn't want to make Jesse uncomfortable but dates Chase when Jesse is very clearly and vocally uncomfortable with it?
Joel's also dumb as rocks, idk how he can be a detective when he can't even figure out the half naked boy draping all over him is into him.
Please don’t take this comic seriously and people have circumstances and have their own problem to take care of before they fix them with others and I also agree with something you said but “don’t say something if you don’t have anything nice to say.”
I know that some people will be offended with this comic but just keep in mind that it’s just a comic and JUST BE RESPECTFUL EVEN THO YOU WOULDN’T LIKE THIS AND TO THE PUBLISHER AND THE AUTHER.
This type of situations could happen to people in real life.

I never said all parents understand their children? I said Joel is a shitty dad and I stand by that. I live in the same world you do and I know a shitty dad when I see one.
I get why you think Joel’s a shitty dad but dont you think that he doesn’t know how to clarify his emotions and wasn’t it that Chase tried to seduce him and if you’ve read mangas like how a friend likes a friends dad then you’ll probably know what will happen and I didn’t mean that all parents understand their child but wasn’t Joel in the same boat as how a dad laters understand or try to.
Basically if the mom also tried to tell Joel then it would probably not happen and the story could be a whole another plot but the mom was kinda betrayed when Joel lies about his age (only 3 years Apart) and got into this.(●￣(ｴ)￣●)
This was funny and depressing at the same time and I loved every minute. I'm happy with who he ended up with. I thought there was no way that would happen, because he was the healthier option and I have no faith in BL comics.
But why was it so cold when the two guys got to the US, I thought they were in LA?
