I feel like the most possible diagnosis for this universe is that our boy Dan is either:
- Depressed (100%)
- Alcoholic (my money shot)
- Liver problems (also a bet)
- Malnourish/vitamin deficiency (also likely since he's been drowning in liquor)
- Heart problems (just an idea)

This isn't part of the abandonment issue he's had since which is already heartbreaking enough
