Like other people have said, it’d feel kind of odd to see MC and lemon back together because it seems like MC moved on and has a mutual attraction with his new crush. But also, life can take unexpected directions. MC can open his mind to the new possibility of getting back with his ex if they clear up the understanding and Lemon confesses.
I feel like the author has the opportunity to make this series an interesting reflection of real life relationships between people, regardless of who the MC ends up with. I somewhat believe in the mangaka because of how they have presented all the main cast’s feelings/emotions/perspectives so far.

All this drama just for her to one punch her father?? That’s kinda lame -___- isn’t the fire clan pretty important, why are they getting beat up so easily?
Also related to the other comment talking about potential endings:
I think our crossdressing scammer is gonna die before or at the end of the series :’) it seems like he’s sick or has an illness

Like the Genjou dude was at the weird apt/condo location so why didn’t they start looking into him???
Especially if he’s connected to Miyako in a way.
And the way 3-4 people already disappeared, the mastermind is unknown, and there’s a lot of ~gaps~ Kotone could have had time to be contacted by the mastermind on the re-attempt #1 and they are just “trusting” Kotone wouldn’t kill everyone… this feels very naive ( ̄▽ ̄)
Like they’re gonna fail so bad, see yall on Attempt #2 !!

Reread the whole manga after this volume dropped (5/2/2024) and noticed everything truly does connect/expand from what happens in Chapter 1 alone. This mangaka knows how to write a story, I love it.
You know what’s going to happen, it’s implied from the beginning but the journey to the end is so intriguing. I like all of the “main cast” characters, their thoughts, emotions, personality and how they interact with each other because of who they are is such a wonderful mix of people to follow for a story. They aren’t perfect people and that’s completely fine, if anything it makes it more real. I highly recommend anyone thinking about reading this supernatural & psychological shoujo manga to give it a try!
In the poem she translated, the choices were to stay and die or leave and live… I would like to imagine she lived.
She chose to hold her breathe to cope and endure as much as she could when she was in an environment set to destroy her and decided to leave the moment she saw the chance.
We don’t know what happened to her after the last chapter but REGARDLESS she left on her own terms, whether that’s dying or starting a new life for herself.
