She’s going against the church, it’s put them on a bad spotlight and rumors would circulate around them trying to attack an innocent family and blah blah blah. I would assume to be the turnout since that high class society is just yucky in general, + the Christmas donation stuff if known to public, commoners would be more inclined with her family.
It’s def not the best way fs, I think the family would be torn and since shuri is protecting their honor, I don’t think it’s turn out this way
