At first, his comment surprised me, I was quite shocked. Then, I remembered a person (no idea who it was or how long ago) who said that the couple should always be the priority, since they can only raise their children the right way if they focus on their relationship first. To love your partner is to love your children. I don't know how true that is, considering I'm not a parent. But it makes sense. Even if it was a bad thing (since, again, I don't have experience in that area) it's good that they can communicate, I like that.
