You would be surprised to see the lengths to which people are willing to go to argue that what’s happening here is non consensual or, at the very least, unethical. absolutely agree with you. i feel like most of the people that are on webtoon and read this shit are underage, which makes it way more harmful. Kids and some young adults dont have enough experiences to understand the nuances of a lot of topics, which is why many of their opinions end up not aligning with reality. this is why their families should strive to teach them about basic ethics, principles etc, so they dont accept the wrong belief. however many families fail to do that for their kids, making them easy victims to harmful media such as this. thats why i have a problem with jinx's author, i believe that they genuinely don't understand how messed up this story is and would probably justify his actions with a simple "he pays him well". and the fact that kim dan actually loves jaekyung is more proof of the author's strange world view. unless kim dan is a child(he isnt) or has a stockholm syndrome(which is unlikely, because this is intended to be a bl story), there is no way he would consciously love his abuser the way he does. it just can't happen, but the author has no idea, that what they are writing is actual abuse, therefore in their mind the love kim dan feels for jaekyung is in place. and kids who don't understand anything about consent and abusive realtionships see this and think "hey, dan loves him, he also gets paid, so it okay". thats why we see so many weird posts in comment sections such as "its not rape" and justifying many messed up characters, ideologies etc
