Sure there can be toxic people (cough nearly everyone in this story cough) in BDSM, but it is like any other relationship where the only thing that makes it a crime is the people that choose to misinterpret or bend the rules/law to fit themselves and actively commit those crimes.
Aa if it wasn't evident enough, this author clearly doesn't understand the first thing about BDSM, I just hope people don't believe this story like they did 50 shades...
