She also has her sad backstory but honestly, she was the one holding herself back, she always knew Takumi could never love her the way she wanted him to but still persuaded him and when she did have sex with him she was pissed? Honestly, Takumi also took part in keeping Layla "pure" like a child not knowing the outside world although I do see it as a facade she puts up it still is a big and true part of her.
