I think it is understandable to reject someone if you can't be with them wholeheartedly because you still have ties to your ex. I also think it was really selfish for the ML to ask the FL to live with him when he still had that toxic situations-hip with his ex. I can only imagine what the FL was feeling during that time. The ML lost me when he made a deal for his ex to approve of his new relationship. You are an adult. You don't need the permission of an EX to pursue a new romantic relationship. I feel like the ML and FL will end up together but I like Subaru better at this point.
