i think if this manga didnt go so far with the scenes of him being lusty over this 9 yr old kid it would have been better. it made me REALLY uncomfy. after he grew up it was ok but it felt like, despite the author also seemingly disagreeing with that due to all the "thats a crime" it felt like those panels were for a targetted audience of pedophiles.

i coild sit here and talk abot ahow much i love the plot and characters' writing but imma appreciate the references to their other works like the tv bit and ofc how yu is like the epitome of perfection a monster who dominates all like the author's book mosquito wars. READ IT IT NOW IF YOU HAVENT (and The horizon i love it). Yu looked exactly like Mosquito wars and jeans painting made of blood that he created showing perfection was similar to the agenda of the mosquitos and the whole collection of dna to make the perfect species
though some people don't like the slow pace i really dont mind it as i feel like we get so much develpopment on each character feelings which is often so overlooked and makes it seem rushed.
tbh i didnt even realise i had gotten through like 40 epispodes as though not much progressed in the plot i definitly have a strong grasp on their feelings
