Hey I didn't say ML was right about his actions ! I agree with you he's totally in the wrong with the examples you pointed but I'm upset because it feels only ML had chara development (coming out of his shell, opening up, a bit of healing from his trauma) while MC stayed the same. Feels unfair
And I repeat just so we're clear I don't like ML's behaviour. Him jumping to conclusions was funny at first but it hurts to see how delusional he is

both characters are not perfect and I do find the MC bland sometimes but that's what makes them compatible because ML has an affect to MC's calm and mature demeanor

I 100% agree but for some reason I also feel kinda bad for him because of his lack of freedom but him cheating is pretty crazy. But I also don’t know if he was able to divorce the queen so both of them could be free or he was a greedy hoe and wanted 2 people and also why did he have to like a young person while he was wrinkly as fuck… anywho sorry for the rant lmao

Don't worry I get you, withered old man falling in love with a VERY young one is disturbing enough, added he was king and already married with 5 children (most likely the same age as his "new love" even).. and realistically, in a monarchy kind of country, having several consorts is normal but you would expect that logic to follow when it comes to national stability with the next in line for the throne. Like okay you several concubines it's alright as long as you think about it before and it doesn't endanger the stability of the kingdom because of politics, you're a king it's your job to think about those things.
Even from a outside perspective, without any emotions or feelings for those characters, what the king did was exceptionally stupid and dangerous for his people. He's supposed to look over and care for his country, when making a decision, he must think about the consequences much more than any other citizen. Its hard, suffocating and even depressing but it's the reality of how much responsibility rulers have.
And he didn't. He didn't think, he acted on impulse like a teenager (while he's like 70 wtf), he was a fool and even worse he left everyone and wallowed in his bedroom while everything went up in flames ! Lover died, youngest child and heir to the throne went completely mad and tried to kill himself, queen committed suicide, egg didn't hatch and is considered stillborn,.. and he's just going to cry in his bed. Gor years. I don't like this guy. Pathetic
