Idc what anyone has to say. But I like Caeser and have always enjoyed his character in relation to Ari's. Do I want them to get together? Absolutely not. Friends tho? Yes. I'm not excusing his behavior in any way in their past life and I don't want any spoilers about something he might do in the novel. But let's not act like Ari was a great match for him in their first life. She wasn't smart, cynical or savvy. Lowborn. She didn't do anything to improve her position and she was forced unto Caeser through a marriage he didn't want. She was obsessive and clingy, not really looking to understand Caeser and again, im not saying Caeser wasn't in any wrong either. But I'm just saying, her "love" bared a lot of weight bc it wasn't unconditional.
She wanted him to love he back. She wanted him to make her his queen. And sure, a lot of you will say what's wrong with wanting your partner to love you back? It's bc 1. They're not lovers. Their marriage was forced and arranged. Something Caeser didn't want. 2. Her love was obsessive, possessive, insecure. 3. She was anxiously attached to him which came from not having known love in her life and family and that is burdensome. If you've ever really been in a relationship with a person who is anxiously attached to you, radiating their insecurity all the time, you will not enjoy it.
AGAIN IM NOT EXCUSIN CAESER EITHER. I'm just saying a lot of yall ain't seeing it from his POV. She was violent and didn't uphold herself as a noble, which meant she embarrassed him and caused him trouble like attacking people bc they speak lowly of Caesers background. Sure she did it out of love, but that is not how you handle things as the kings fiance. In the world of nobles. And that's what I mean she wasn't smart. She was easily manipulated and her temper could easily be used against her if Caeser was mentioned. Just like Ari, we've seen Caeser have a miserable life between his mother and the king. Though better in comparison. But if you're constantly trying to live up to your mother's expectations to be king and be great, your own father spitting at you, beating you and saying you'll never get the chance bc of your lowly blood that he made, and your wimpy older brother, the pressure of all that and then on top of it, the insult of forcing his marriage with another illegitimate child who was a maid, is just forcing him to be a laughingstock. So here he is trying to grow out of that after treason and here Ari is making a fool of herself.
AGAIN I LOVE ARI ABSOLUTELY. IM NOT EXCUSING CAESER. But this is a new timeliness where we are seeing new sides to both of them. If she's allowed to change and we view it positively, then why can't Caeser? They're both the way that they are now bc of the different circumstances. So again I like Caeser and I want them to be friends. Sorry for the long rant. Just my thought. Feel free to disagree respectfully. I'd love to have a discussion of what others think.

I'm not gonna lie, their relationship was weird to me and I never got over it. Now, are there any real faults? No. Like he's a grown man now and lala was frozen in time as stone in a dragons stomach. So she hasn't aged. Which there are no real problems. But, idk. Just their relationship dynamic and the way he just kinda had his way with her when she woke up. And the things he did to her body while she was stone....don't sit right with me. And I KNOW I KNOW this is really not problematic as compared to some other manga, but idk. Def not my fave

Like it's nothing too bad. But obviously he caressed her, washed her, dressed her and kissed her. It's not like he was tonguing down the statue or anything. But kissing her on the lips is weird. Caressing her face and her body while he put her in clothes is weird. Like I get he's obsessed with her and we love an obsessive king, but that was weird to me
He's not wrong tho. Like Lucia be so fr. Do you think you would've made it to Carl in, A. One Piece. 2. Before Carl died. And 3. After the boss would be killed? No. A. You would've been killed along with Carl and both turned to zombies. B. Carl would've died before you could reach him and been used as an explosive once you reached him and killed you. So the best thing to do was kill him
