Well, first because they knew each other from when they were young so they have memories together, also because we know what's going on inside yahwi's head and that he don't have hidden intentions not like cain who we don't really know his motive and anything about him. Finally because yahwi realized his feelings for jooin he's gonna change for him and we all like a character that evolves for someone he loves.
