It might be that his brother wasn’t aware of their relationship and did t want to give her the chance to refuse him in sight. Hence why she had to sign before meeting him. Plus the emperor clearly needed it to happen politically. ML didn’t show up because his brother the emperor told him not to. Not sure why she’s fussing over that to the point of holding a grudge for two years.

She was upset because she believed he was avoiding her. He didn’t respond to her emails, and when she first tried to meet him, he didn’t show up. She perceived his attitude and behavior as deceptive, which made her angry; she felt he should have been honest. This is why Juliet hated Enoch. However, the male lead had legitimate reasons for not replying to the princess and for missing their meeting. She lacked those reasons. Instead of communicating with him, she created her own beliefs about him, which ultimately hurt both him and herself.

What was his legitimate reason? He wasn’t sick enough not to meet her. And communication goes both ways he could have also communicated his situation to her so that she doesn't misunderstand in the two years they were married. Having a sad backstory isn’t a pass for your current actions as well.

His legitimate reason = emperor’s order. It doesn’t need to be any deeper than that. Hierarchies exist to be respected. The only reason why everyone is so lenient with her in the first place is because she’s sick and her crown prince brother loves her enough to go to war over her.

She shut that man down every chance she got, kept him at bay for two years. I don’t understand why he should be blamed for following his brother/emperor order. Especially when the emperor didn’t even bother giving him the letter she sent. Her unwillingness to hear him out for two whole years even though he’s vowed to be there for her and give her everything he possibly could is ridiculous. Being mad at first is understandable, but only to a degree. If she wanted to call someone a monster, she should’ve said that to the emperor. She dramatized everything to such a degree that I’m actually annoyed at the fact that she’ll most likely still get to be with him once she realizes he truly loves her (statement based on how she clearly regrets her actions in chapter 1)

I guess thats a legitimate reason. But as i’ve said communications goes both ways. She shut him off and he didnt clear up any misunderstandings so they are both at fault. A person who thinks they are deceived will continue to think so unless reassured that they were not so I cant blame her for the anger. And yes he gave her everything he could, everything except the one thing that could put her at ease which is very unfortunate for both of them. I just think she doesnt deserve that much hate.

He is cursed—bound by a fate where he will keep getting sicker until he meets his destined partner, who happens to be the MC. Despite this, the male lead has lived a life filled with self-doubt, convinced that no one could ever love him. He knows she doesn’t like him, especially since their marriage was forced, compounded by misunderstandings he doesn’t fully grasp. Because he believes she hates him (and it's not just a belief—she truly does), his curse worsens.

When the mc starts getting sick, the ML decides that if no one will ever love him, he's willing to give his heart to the mc, because despite everything, he loves her. It's easy to see why she gets most of the hate—while they should have communicated better, it's clear that he was protecting her while she was merely protecting herself.

He didn’t come she felt betrayed, she doesn’t know if it’s the emperor she doesn’t have an idea of what’s going on, unlike us ( who the author wanted to show us he is shady) she didn’t see it
