Is this a safe place to admit i hate flashbacks?Like i get spending 1-2 chapters on a back story or at least set the backstory up at the beginning not in the middle when theres supposed to be some climatic build up.

I dont hate backstorys. But this Story is definitiv dripping like a broken faucet. Its so slow and ... sorry, super boring.

exactly. he literally hit a model in the face multiple times for crossing the line. also being very stern when if comes to him fucking around with drugs and s*x scandals.
you can also clearly tell he has some feelings for him so he isnt as unrelenting as he should he is still putting up a fight.
also im sure the commenter, if this happen to them they dont know what they would do in the situation. fight, flight and freeze response is a thing. also imagine your best friend from highschool who you likes and avoided for years is hitting on you..... you kinda want it but you dont ... tf you gonna do? double anyone just has the gut to put up with it till you literally punch that person

i don't think he's a pushover. he's just nice and also has had feelings for ML. he's also dutiful and trying to keep ML in top shape by trying to make him stop going to those orgy parties in fear of his image (and using that as an excuse to give into his lust).
plus again, ML was probably his first love and gay awakening and he obviously hasn't forgotten those feelings so you can't blame him for being a little tempted to do sexual things with ML. it all kinda just works out
He’s only a pushover in the sense with the top bc he’s so in love with him. Which I also dislike bc u can love someone and not let them step all over u. But if he wasn’t this way I doubt their relationship would ever progress. Top looks like he needs someone submissive but with a little fire and to put him in his place once in a while. Which is what the bottom will be when the story develops more I’m guessing. So yes I agree with what everyone said in the previous comments
