I get white people say the story is confusing. On an overall level you understand what is happening, but I do think the chapters aren’t very fluid, and the plot is choppy. It almost feels like some chapters are pages were missing.
Even though I wish the authors flushed out the story more, I did like the art, and the cute couple pairing.
I couldn’t understand why our ML acted the way he did and why it was so difficult for him to communicate but I think the internal hate and anxiety is a good representation of depression.
This is the first time where I felt like it was more realistically depicted. Depression doesn’t just go away all of a sudden. It usually stays with someone but they can learn to better manage it and heal over time — I’m glad they resolved to heal together
I feel like hyobin really took for granted the love and relationship he has with gichan. Honestly, our poor gichan has been through so much in the past 10 years, and even until the very end it felt like hyobin give him a half ass dancer on being OK with dating him…
I really wish this author it gave a few more side stories to help us have more faith in the relationship but we never get that.
Just my 2 cents.
Part of it is because Hyobin isn't really gay to begin with, and as a gay guy, I honestly can't consider him gay at all. He's likely bi/pansexual.
As for their decade friendship. One saw it as romance while the other saw it as platonic. Both cherished, none took it for granted.
Lastly for the confession/answer. Personally, it feels correct. You see, their decision to officially go steady, was more on accepting the fact they could no longer revert any changes to their relationship, rather than a definitive romance bc they're aware of the setbacks of their same sex relationship
This story was such a nice change of pace from the other stories they try to differentiate themselves with traumatized characters, toxic relationships, supernatural settings, etc! It’s a simple story, with main characters that have great supportive friends, who grow up together with a loving, healthy relationship… Overall, this is just a pool of wholesomeness.
I hope all of them live a long and loving life <3
