from what i remember, bc of his position as king he ends up marrying someone of royalty. meanwhile (idk exactly when) there becomes a time when he gets drunk (or something of that sort) and kind of rapes (?) pauliana. pauliana ends up pregnant and moves far away to raise the kid she's pregnant with. the prince soon joins her bc he loves her. this is a rough idea of how it went from memory, idk if it's exact so if anyone sees any errors pls correct me!

That's the thing, your spoilers aren't in order. Please read the novel on its entirety so you could understand.

The emperor (Lucius) atm in the novel currently translated is married to 3 women. One of them is pregnant and Poli still doing her job, she hasn't developed any romantic feelings towards Lucius so far. And Lucius, like any decent man, is not forcing his feelings on her.

The Emperor, like any realistic ruler, is currently carrying his duties atm. Considering the political climate around the continent he had to take 3 women as wives from each region (north, central and south) to appease the elders from Acreia. Like he took 10 years to unite and you think he will allow people to start wars just to break the empire apart?

And Poli is busy taking care of his wives, and she's quite a close friend (at least of one) of them.

If she ends up sleeping/married and getting pregnant will happen later. For now, she is even considering marrying another guy, because people are still making critics regarding her marital status, she's considered "ugly" and barren, that weights a lot.

They will end up together but not in the unrealistic way people are used to. Both of them have a lot of responsibilities and they can't just do whatever they want and break many rules and traditions without consequence.


Ps: I'm reading the novel on wuxiaworld, so far nothing romantic started between them. However, there is a lot of Poli's character development that I recommend people to read and find out.

Is the concubine pregnant with the emperors kid or is it like she eloped with someone else n made it look like it was his kid. Bc either way I would feel sorry for the kid bc the emperor only loves paulina therefore he probably only loves his kids with Paulina most. Do you think he will neglect the other kid? (´ｰ｀)

The concubine is expecting a child with the emperor. After managing to get married to the most powerful man in the continent, and how much expectations they face as women they wouldn't dare to elope with someone else.

In addition, Lucius (emperor) is excited about the kid, even though it's hard, he separates his love with Poli in regards to his affairs as the emperor.

Also, I don't think he will neglect, aside of the fact that he's exhausted in managing as a ruler and wants to dump the job onto his children (heir), he doesn't act as a negligent parent.
