what i also find really interesting, is sae definitely sees rin as a potential rival, but as rin is so fucking hung up on surpassing his brother, when it comes to opponents on his brother's level or higher, rin won't win. we are all seeing that rin is seeing sae as a "brother to surpass" rather than a "rival to surpass" and because of that, in this match he is almost at a standstill, hence why sae gave rin that piece of advice because breaking through rin's defense. rin says he is looking at the bigger picture, but is he? his obsession with beating his brother may have been a catalyst in the blue lock area, but outside, it is self destructive and holding him back.
so, i am really excited to see rin realise this and wake up because as much as i love him, his plays so far are a little embarrassing.
sangwoo is really pretty, gorgeous without the hat, but that aside this is too much, jaeyoung is seriously a pain, how has he changed but he is still this annoying??? how hard is it to respect someone's boundaries???

by far this is one of the best romances i have ever read. no this is straight up incredible. the communication, the friendship, the romance, the "problems", the way this manga handles and delves into every possible topic that arises from romance manga is insane. i have never read such a good romance like this. shikimori can be slightly jealous without being nasty/rude to her "rivals" (the way shikimori talked to kamiya was just brilliant - more romance manga need to do this), a friendship group that communicate well and bring out the best in each other, extremely kind and sweet characters, cute and caring parents, izumi and shikimori open up to each other about literally anything, if they're feeling a little anxious or uncomfortable and so on. an incredible manga, i really hope it gets an anime adaptation.
