I for one, I'm quite happy with the turn of events. Sometimes people need that one push to get themselves moving, it's best to act as soon as possible before you lose someone important, and I'm glad it happened that way cause then there's nothing to regret. I understand the hate Sou feels since the uke always followed him like a puppy following his foot step and doing everything better than him. Being in the shadow of someone else even though you may love them is something hard to deal with. I always think it's best when the couple fixes their problems and doesn't let go. And considering the uke's personality, he never actually told Sou his feelings did he? Anyway communication is key.
I couldn't help but love that moment with the ladies, "they're both trash, I wouldn't want either of them," it's just the right amount of funny and realism. Like really who would wanna be with a rapist or a lunatic, it's like they hit you with the truth of the matter. They brought us back the reality in that moment, but it's yaoi and we love it no matter how it come at us.
Everyone is really coming down on chapter 8, but I think you all need to relax. I'm feeling desensitized in regards to the sex scene in the chapter, especially considering other yaoi scenarios, but also based on previous works from the author, Ogawa Chise. Ogawa-sensei, makes work not for the light-hearted, the theme of the story was pretty much demonstrated from the beginning, and that is to makes the uke, Azusa, fall into an abyss of darkness with no escape. And to add, from previous comments, I can comment that no one is ever satisfied, some of you didn't want the run of the mill type of story were forced sexual intercourse leads to love, and based on this chapter it's not going in that direction. Plus, there needs to an understanding that based on previous works from the author she makes couples that are "IN LOVE" or more like obsession to the point of complete monopolization, which is hinted in her characters whether it's in your face or just snip of it. I believe in her "HAPPY ENDING" but at this point it probably means two people are gonna end up with each other and in love, but who, we don't know yet, so just calm down. In my personal opinion, I can't wait to see how this work develops, I like all the characters, they're twisted as previous characters in Ogawa's line of work, and it shouldn't be anything shocking that they stay with the pairs as they are.
I see where you are coming from. But I like to talk about it as we go--the good, the bad, and the ugly. If everyone agreed, there would be no discussion.
Maybe I just have too much time on my hands right now. :)
So after reading this and the comments, I have to say it was lacking something and it felt rushed. And so I've been giving it some thought as to what it was. First the relationship between Kamijou and Kokoro was like friends with benefits, and sadly there wasn't love anymore, but more about staying together in consideration for all the years spent together. It was a stagnant relationship. NOW what really got to me was just how easily it was broken off, and no, not the lack of dramatic events. But more like there should been some sort talk that traced back their relationship, and I don't necessarily imply that they could've fixed it. I think it would've served as a form of closure for both them that their relationship had long ended. I think it would've been sad to see how the relationship slowly made it's way to the point where they would've ended it, but it would've given some more content to Kokoro's development in regards to a speedy love interest with Takuma considering that he'd been in a relationship for many years.
