Glad to see I'm not the only one that gets bothered by this. There are gay men who would call themselves the bride or girl in occasions. But the yaoi characters don't really have that sort of personality in most cases so it always bothered me. It's like the mangakas still don't get how being gay works and still can't let go of the idea of couples consisting of only a man and a woman.

I dont get why this comment has dislikes. I understand the point of this commentor and I dont dislike it just because I have a different opinion to his/hers.

I think in this case it didn't bother me that much because the whole twist of it was that the seme was more "feminine" and the uke was a tsundere so they teased him a lot by using that, but indeed it is really frustrating that the "uke" always gets treated like a girl.

Also there's this pattern where if a seme gets jealous over some rival for the uke's affection the rival is a dude, but if an uke gets jealous over someone going for the seme it's always women (most of the time they are also bitchy, like wtf)

So bride is a bad word to call a man even if he himself dont mind it ? Does it lessen the masculinity of a guy ? I dont understand if he is okay with than wht is the problem .and in this manga the guy seems to be fine with it?.its just a question with curiosity and no sarcasm so please dont be rude.

The fact that the uke is always jealous of a woman and the seme of a boy is really annoying and I don't understand this, because it seems that the uke turns into a female and the seme in a boy that only girls can fall in love with, given his masculinity. I get what you're trying to say since a lot of BL tends to do that but I don't think this manga is like that. It was just a cute title he used, they even interchanged it. It was probably cuter because the more traditionally masculine one accepted the title so nonchalantly. Not trying to attack you or anything!
