I think the point is that neither of them know who the original is. It was her turn to be Ruri, so she's Ruri. From the start, they saw themselves as interchangeable. And now she can't be Hari anymore, so she's lost her sister in more ways than one. Very strange and sad little story. I know a lot of people disliked it, but I thought it was interesting.

i didn't necessarily dislike just because it was an ending i didn't like. i found it interesting and just something's tragic doesn't mean it's bad so it was an interesting but tragic story

I was afraid to start reading this because I kept seeing that it was just queerbaiting, etc, but after looking at recent chapters... what? I feel like you have to be in SERIOUS denial to think this manga is about straight boys. I see that "shounen ai" was removed from the genre, and okay, whatever, but even with a female love interest (which, by the way, awesome that she's not conventionally pretty), everything in this story is so incredibly gay.

I don't know how it's gonna end, but people keep saying the main guy is straight. I get that he was raised to seduce people, but give me a break. Sexuality is complicated. However he may have identified, or whatever he may have done in the past, actions speak louder than words. That boy ain't straight.

Reading comments and fan arguments makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I'm just gonna go ahead and keep reading without the input of others on this one. I almost didn't read it because people kept insisting it was het. Maybe they just meant the main pair might remain platonic, but... I feel like even that is questionable.

Did anyone else get lowkey yandere vibes from Yoshizawa?

I liked the couple a lot! But there were some weird moments in there. Even weirder because I don't think the author intended that. It made it kind of funny, just odd. Like I feel like one wrong move could have taken this whole story into a completely different direction.

I'm waiting for the chapter where they reveal the omega is a serial killer. With all the creepy little moments throughout, I feel like they were just beating around the bush. Don't try to convince me that there isn't a flesh suit in that guy's closet.

In all seriousness, I would have liked this a lot more if it hadn't been both rushed and forced (the omega and alpha had zero chemistry), and if the gross behavior on the part of the omega hadn't been treated as cute or sexy. I get that it's usually the omega being raped, but I'm not so sure "two rapes make a right" would hold up in court.

Is it just an error that there's no shounen ai or yaoi tag in the genres? I mean, I saw it and thought it would be insane if this wasn't BL, based on the cover, and reading all of the comments, it seems like it's BL. So I just wondered why it wasn't listed as such. It'd suck if it wasn't actually BL.

So this is where this was supposed to be: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/falling_yun/

I don't know how they both got updated this way, just because they have the same title.

otakulys June 27, 2020 7:04 pm

I almost didn't check this update, which would have been a shame, because this BL looks very intriguing. I hope they fix it soon, though, because... well, obviously it doesn't belong here, haha. Hopefully it gets its own page and this one can go back to normal.

Is the reason the author's other work isn't on here due to its extreme nature? He or she writes some pretty twisted stuff, but it's all in English and just isn't on the site. It does have a ton of gore, and a good portion of it is with minors, though. Those things both exist on this site, but maybe that's because they're separate. Perhaps the line is drawn at blood orgies with middle schoolers. Which... I wouldn't blame them if that's the case.

This artist did such a great job! I wish there were other works by her on this site. Also, haven't seen the anime this is based on, but knowing it won't actually be gay and fun like this, I struggle to push myself to check it out. If it isn't a het-brigade, I might just have to watch it, though.

I can actually relate to the uke, but in a less extreme sense. I don't do it anymore, but as a little girl, I used to set up situations in order to make myself feel unloved and unwanted. I'm not sure when it started, but I guess it was a form of masochism born from my need to cope with being ripped away from my loving mother and raised with mean children and crappy babysitters because my dad would rather my mom suffer than his daughter be happy and healthy.

Basically, it's the sense that if someone supposedly loves or cares about you, some part of you has to prove it isn't true. It isn't that you actually like it. It's more of a compulsion. I don't know why I did it. Maybe to prove to myself that I was incapable of being loved. If someone claimed to care about me, I was much more likely to lash out at them or hurt them. Granted, I moved past that by high school, and I was never cruel to anyone but myself. I just understand where that comes from. I don't know, it's dumb, but this manga really got to me because of that. The uke doesn't want to be vulnerable, so he acts like a dick. He's testing this guy, but pretending it's because he doesn't care. That way he won't get hurt. But secretly, he wants the guy to keep passing the tests. Not-so-secretly by the end, hence the tears.

It made me cry, too. I know a lot of people are hating on the character, but I think it's clear he's just a damaged person. Doesn't mean the seme should just tolerate the abuse, but I'd like to imagine a future with them working through all of this together. Maybe they can even be friends with the other kid? I like that it's open but it's still so sad.

I really understand where you’re coming from, that’s why I can’t help but get why the main character acted like how he did. Thanks for putting it into words, hopefully readers can better understand the uke even if it’s just a bit

damn, thank you so much for this comment. this made me realize a lot of things when i was younger. i did stop having that "i know you really hate me" syndrome, but it's nice to finally know why i did such things to my friends and family.

i thought it was just a sadistic, sick thing, but i never did really like it--i just couldn't stop. it's really a compulsion, a test if they would detest and leave me. maybe it's bc of how im used to be alone and lonely. it's nice how i grew out of it. i hated myself for hurting my friends and family, so i'm glad that i hate myself less now bc i stopped doing that.
