I remember when the Kyungsoo x Chowon side stories started, the majority of the fandom did not like that they were the ones emphasized and not Dojin x Hyesung or Dojun x Heesoo. (even I was not interested at first) But now for me, it gave a better story than season 1,2 and part 1 of the side stories could offer. Something realistic that a lot can relate to, pain, and character development from one of the characters I never expected will even have their own voice in this story. Such a good way to finish this masterpiece if this will be the official final season of Love is an Illusion.
For the people who still blame Chowon for his mental state. Think of Lewis He/Zishu He from 10 years I loved you the most, he was abandoned by his lover and treated him like he was nothing, he changed mentally and physically until he developed cancer. And even though Dojun never really cheated on Chowon, that same neglect crept into him that turned into an obsession(you can develop different symptoms because of neglect, it happens to be that Chowon formed an obsession). Now I understand why Dojun's parents still welcomed him back then, they really felt sorry for Chowon.
I feel bad for Mr. Han now... I used to be a pure Hwi x Param shipper but after the flashback of Mr. Han, I really don't see him that much of a bad guy(yet). I feel sorry for him.
Little Backstory when Ci Nian was pregnant:
After he got out of prison he worked for a construction company, it was a low paying job and the only home he had was the tents set up for the employees. Then he noticed that his stomach was getting bigger so he quit that job and saved up money so he could atleast get a decent home. He met Luo Xiaomao when he was searching for a home and they got along well. His stomach just kept getting bigger that LXM noticed it and Ci Nian explained to him what it really was. LXM really helped Ci Nian through those tough times instead of judging him. Ci Nian just wanted to rip out his stomach and even asked LXM to do it, thankfully LXM hid all the knives/sharp objects around the house so Ci Nian wouldn't attemp it. He really tried to convince him to not give up his and the child's life multiple times. Ci Nian at 8 months was trying to secretly buy a scalpel when he met a doctor online, he ignored the doctor etc. etc. After a few weeks passed, Ci Nian felt a sharp pain and was bleeding, he had accepted his fate that he'll just die, LXM was very worried but Ci Nian gave the contact information of the doctor who was willing to help him. At the end of the day, little Wowo was born.

From what I understood from the roughly translated novel, Xu Xin Nian(the one we know today) is confirmed to not actually be a son of the Xu family. His real brother was different from that slut. He ended up in Ah Si's arms and he took care of him(This part is confusing to explain but Xin Nian(real) was "stalking" Ci Nian but Ci Nian felt a presence that he was being followed and alerted Cheng, he order Ah Si to take care of it etc.) I think they even developed feelings for each other, idk it was kinda confusing. Ah Si brings him so he can introduce himself as Ci Nian's younger brother. Both brothers have met in the past but Xin Nian recalls the day when Ci Nian treated him so well even if he didn't knew him. He gives him a handkerchief that Ci Nian gave in the past and even a wedding gift, handmade with a small knife. Ci Nian understood the meaning of it and cried when he finally met his real brother. Xin Nian was actually scared at the possibility Ci Nian wouldn't accept him because of what happened with the fake Xin Nian but he still accepted him with open arms.

Well it was kinda getting obvious with all the signs that Wowo may be related to him especially when one of the doctors(I think they were close friends) said that Wowo looked like him even when Qu Cheng was at the same age. He looked at Wowo with fatherly love.
