I get you :( she’s spent her whole life preparing to be the emperor, she literally has no one to fall back on to if she doesn’t become emperor and she’s willing to learn the hardship of the poor even though she has a ‘perfect’ life to become the best emperor:( and he want to take it all from her :(((

He’s said it a few times and in the future he becomes Emperor so it’s obvious he wants to take her position. Although, he does seem to be wavering in the last chapter.

Bruh he still has the royal blood. He has the right to fight for the throne too

From what I remember
, he knows that she have been raised to be the next emperor and he does feel bad about their future battle, but he want to be the emperor because of what happened to him. Compared to her he understand the situation wayy better, but that's because of the Red King who raised her daughter to be her puppet, so she wouldn't know a thing and would always follow what her mother tells her to. They both are strong in their own way but kinda lack too. The Silver King have been raised to be the emperor so she do know how to handle strongly the kingdom but because the Iron King lived in the slums, he knows the reality of the life better than her. I can't wait to see hwo things will end. I hope this comment is clear about what I meant to say and don't bother you.

Yeah he has as much right to the throne as she does. And compared to her, he was the one who had to go through all sorts of hardships since he is not pure blooded, and also knows a lot more about the country than the princess. I think he is kinda cool for gathering all that support even though he started from no support and the queen is constantly looking to kill him.
Personally I love both of them, and do think the princess has more ambition to become Emperor than the prince does, but with their current knowledge I do think the prince is more suited. But this is obv going to change as the princess is learning more and she is improving her relationship with her brother.

For those who are curious, a little summary of what is to come. SPOILERS ahead:




To sum up really quickly, black-haired guy quits school a bit earlier so they don't really get to spend much time together. After that, they don't see each other for a couple of years, until they're full grown adults. When they meet again, black-haired guy is married to the geisha girl. Yes, quite a lot of unnecessary drama... But even so, they finally spend a night together and confess to each other. And in the end, the two of them grow old together.

Actually they each broke up wiht their respective partners. MC with his fiance and Tachibana with the geisha. And the implication is that it takes MC a few years to settle things on his side because he's the heir to a family fortune and all that, but in the end they do get together.

was indeed married to the geisha when they saw each other again! I thought that she was some sort of his caretaker after the war, since I don't know chinese. Ouch! That must have been painful :(
